Canadadrugs.com has generic prevacid from Cipla for $37.77 for 90 30mg capsules--they work great
I tried the Cipla generic Prevacid and they did NOT work at all for me. It was very inexpensive which is the only good thing I can say about it (from a Canadien pharmacy - although the drug as shipped to me came from a pharmacy in Milton Keynes, England, not actually Canada at all).

On this generic within 2 days my heartburn was so bad I thought I was going to die - it was as bad, or worse, than before I was taking any PPI at all. In addition, the Cipla generic "Prevacid" (called something like "lanzol" which is part of the chemical name) gave me almost constant abdominal pains, plus the runs on top of that. I stuck with it for 4 days to see if my body had to adjust to it but couldn't bear it anymore so I switched back to existing supply of real Prevacid and felt better within 8-12 hours!

Since then I have switched to buying "real" Prevacid from Canada (instead of the Indian Cipla generic), at about half the cost of buying it here in the USA and have had no problems. Strangely, although it is not a generic, it is not "Prevacid" made by the company that sells it in the USA either. It is called "Zoton" and made/marketed by Wyeth, and the pills look TOTALLY different from Prevacid sold in the USA! And of the 3 times I've ordered it from "Canada", first the drug came from New Zealand, and the other times it came from Barbados!!!!

I guess that the company that makes Prevacid (Takeda from Japan) has licensed Wyeth in the southern hemisphere, or the Pacific southern hemisphere, to make & sell their own version. Thankfully for my body at least, it seems to work the same as the USA sold Prevacid, with no additional ill effects (like the Cipla generic).

Today I learned that Novartis now has some kind of deal to market Prevacid over the counter here in the USA. Unfortunately this is not the 30mg forumlation that I take (it is only 15mg) but I am trying to figure out if maybe I can switch to this (take 2 pills? take one pill every 12 hours? or don't switch at all).

Also I believe that there has been more progress at getting a USA sold generic here (so you don't have to get Cipla's generic from "canada"), and I wonder if this new generic formulation would work for me - and is it available yet/who makes it????

if buying from another country Canada is the best choice. I agree with what you are doing per this. no doubt you are saving quite a bit of $$$.

Just got my Lansoprazole (30mg) from Walgreen's. It is a generic Prevacid. Works perfect. And by the way, Prevacid is available as over-the-counter med. Sam's Club sells it for $24.99 (42X15mg capsules).

I just bought prevacid over the counter at CVS for 25.99 less a $4.00 coupon in the paper. Not bad for 42 pills. CVS gave another $4.00 coupon after I purchased it and another $5.00 off, so I bought another box today which netted for $13.99. I am so relieved as I had a lot of trouble with other meds that didn't work.
I am taking one capsule in the morning and one before dinner as per my Gastro Dr.'s advice. It's working fine!!!

I was SO stoked when CVS started carrying the new lansoprazole generic for Prevacid.....I can't tell you how excited I was.....that was until I've been sick since I started taking it. I've been on Prevacid for 7+ years and have been great, only thing that works for me. I was always a FIRM believer in generics. I'd heard people complain "oh generics don't work like brand names" These same people also refuse to eat a generic potato chip because in some way that potato chip was secretly a million dollar potato chip because you're paying twice as much for it *rolls eyes* Well I gotta say if this is the way they've had experiences I now understand. After a week of taking this crap I was in a parking lot having lunch before entering a store. Suddenly and without ANY warning I projectile vomit.....like when you're a kid and you can't hold it back. It was HORRIBLE. I thought I might be pregnant (which is impossible since I've been "fixed") then I've been sick to my stomach ever since. I can't eat, I can't stop hurting and being nauseous.....it's horrible. Im so disappointed because this was supposed to be such a great thing. Next rx I get filled it will be name brand Prevacid let me tell you!!!!!

Bye the way, I've been taking the new over the counter prevacid once in the morning and once before dinner. It is not the same as the prescription strength. I've been getting a burning in my throat. So now I'm taking one prevacid in the morning and one prescription omeprazole in the evening. When I took omeprazole twice a day it gave me horrific gas and loose stools. It seems like the insurance companies are doing themselves in....won't cover what cures me so I'll need to see the doctor more often and he keeps running tests that don't show anything.

I went to that site and did not see the 30 mg Prevacid listed for the price listed.

Please list further information as to how you got that price and how you ordered.

Thanks

That person probably was paying $10.00 as a copay through insurance.
