None of these drugs are "safe". Just take a half hour and do a google search about statin drugs and muscle pain, and statin drugs and memory loss.
I won't EVER take these drugs. Plus the more research you do, the more you see that this whole cholesterol thing is a nice big fat money making scam spearheading by the Pharm. companies and encouraged by Drs. who continue to get perks and kickbacks from the Pharm. companies.
Eat right, exercise and take care of yourself. We are becoming a "pill nation" and for no good reason.

Another med I'd NEVER swallow...Fosamax (and the similar ones)....google search the side-effects of that one and you'll never take it either...and it is another "made up" condition. All to line the pockets of the greedy corporations that make this stuff.
I wouldn't give these meds to my enemies.

Stay Healthly! Good Luck.

I am a 68 yr old woman with periferal neurapathy caused by the drug zocor...I have permanently damaged nerves in my feet...It has been 5 years since I am off zocor and I see no improvement..I have to take pain pills to be able to walk enough to get through my day....In my opinion anyone with a cholesteral less than 300 should even consider statins...there are plenty of natural things...diet, walking 20 min a day, niacin and fish oil that is a lot safer....they worked for me..too bad I didn't know that before zocor ruined my life...

Has anyone tried the new generic form of Zocor (Simvastatin)yet? If so, how much does it cost (on average)?

Daily Horoscope for January 2

Sagittarius

The rumour mill is especially active, and interesting tales are coming at you from all sides. Don't believe everything you hear: there are people who will start gossip to further their own aims and you don't want to help them unwittingly. Similarly, don't reveal too much of yourself to those who you don't know intimately - keep your own counsel.
