With all those warnings already on the label, the mistake obviously lay with the individual who injected it wrong.
Not with the drug company. But...the drug company has deeper pockets, which is why they were targeted in this lawsuit. What happened to the patient was wrong, and a horrible tragedy. She should be compensated for her pain, suffering, and theloss of her arm -- but it doesn't mean she should have a gazillion dollar settlement, most of which will go to her lawyers. Lawyers are like sharks. Sharks scent blood in the water, lawyers like the ones who took this case scent money -- and go after it. Yes, Justice, this is one of the main reasons health care in this country is so expensive. |
