Do any of you who have scabies get skin colored blisters filled with clear liquid on your hands? Just wondering, cause last August I contracted a rash, it started on my leg and very slowly spread to everywhere else, it took like 4 or 5 months for the total spread to occur. All for Doc's I've seen have said it's not scabies, but some friends of mine got them and blamed it on me. P.S. desonide cream, Fluocinonide ointment and derma cerin top cream have shown to work everywhere, except for the hands so far.

i cant belive i've been trying to get rid of this problem for almost a year. whats going on!!! surley you cant carry on with this. I'm 26 years old and should be out having fun. i cant even stay around peoples houses without fear of contamitating them! permathrin should work!!!!
you have to believe you are getting better as you try to heal. There is no point trying to watch out if they are coming back ... You are just looking at the negative side of it. the symptoms of crawling and itching will fade when you put your thoughts and faith into GETTING BETTER instead of GETTING WORSE

I had Scabies one year ago.. I treated them twice with the cream given to me by the doctor.. but recently I've been itching again, I got my thigh yesterday to where its starting to bruise from my itching. I haven't been in contact with anyone who has had it recently, could this still be the same case of Scabies I had a year ago and treated twice? Or am I just paranoid?! I can't help but think about the 3 months of hell I endured last year. Advice?
I don't think it's the same case of scabies...
If you haven't had it for a year, there's no way.
Could it be a mosquito bite?

A novel thought louse/scabies like entity has been identified.

This agent may prove resistant against permethrin and ivermectine.

You are advised to follow an intensive protocol for persistent scabies.

Use Eurex cream 5 day's with no shower in-between
Than use permethrin 5% for two day's
Use again Eurex for 5 Day's
Than use Derbac M (Malathion) for two day's
Use again Eurex cream for five day's

You must try to treat all body parts, including the scull and face.

Use extra Malathion lotion for lesions and the finger nails, that have to be kept very short.

There exists a Swedish mix called: TENUTEX, a preparation that would include: disulfiram, DTT, and Benzyl benzoate.

Lindane is a pesticide of another class that can be introduced, next to Eurax.

Experimental treatment would maybe include THIABENDAZOLE, or a classic agent like Eserine (physostigmine)

Try the Eurax (crotamitone) based protocol, because it is rather safe, cheap and probably very effective when combined with intermediate pulses of Malathion and/or Permethrin 5%.

I found the dectomax pour to work very well. Although, both ivermectin pour on and dectomax pour on are both based with alcohol and oil. you will be fine, Mite Killer.
Hi IBC,
How is the pour-on working for you? Just curious since I have had a better result with it in the short term than all of the other remedies so far.

It works very well. But, I have to be careful on how often I take it. It will give me a headache and I get sick to my stomach, if I take too much of it. You are good to wait 5 days before doing it again. It works really well for my dog, too.
And with pour on, you can apply it to the areas that are bothering you, like the HANDS AND FEET AND FACE.

Proud Mamma. There is a super sarcoptic bug out there. I have it. It is not a regular human scabies mite. It's out there; you just don't have it. It requires alot more meds than regular human scabies.

My vet told me she thinks the mites I've been dealing with are a resistant strain. But ISO was cured long ago using Ivermectin and BB and she had some mites...so what's up with that?

Yes, Mite Killer. There is a resistrant strain out there. My friend has spoken with several doctors, one being an infectious disease specialist and other doctors in her area. I think that you probably would have gotten rid of them, a long time ago, if you didn't have your cats or dog. they harbor these mites by the thousands. I just have to pet my dog and wait a few mintues, and i feel them. SO, everytime i pet her or whatever, i wash my hands and arms. Iso really went into full get em mode. It could be that her immune system is a little better than yours. I think she kept her dogs outside for a while there, etc. She went full fledge on this. Does she have cats? It also could be that, like you said they are picking them up outside somewhere. Many factors. We both know that the less hosts there are in the home, the easier they are to get rid of. for months on end, I had no pets, but I still had this. Honestly, the numbers went way down. My son, stayed gone for months at a time, and I still couldn't do it, so it is something in my immune. I just can't do it. I know it was not a wise decision to take another dog in, but I am a pet lover and am a softie about pets. I will not take in another pet, as it will create more hosts in my home. Also, ISO doesn't have these things in her area, as much as you do. It is outside somewhere that your pets got this and Iso got it from you. They are not outside in her immediate area. Many, many factors. I know i need to lose weight, but I take an antidepressant that makes me hungry all the time, and it helps me sleep, so I cannot stop taking it. This could be a factor for me. And there are different strains out there, too. You may have a different strain than I do. Not sure about that.

IBC,
Sorry you are still having all the problems, it's horrible. anyone would need to take something for the stress and to cope, understandable. Did you try the dectomax pour-on? It's actually a very nice body spritzer. I add a little lemon scent, lovely for summer.

is the new dog showing any symptoms?

the vet said that the bunnies or coyotes carry sarcoptic mange and it can be passed to any other mammal. she also said the mites go all over the host, wherever they want.

I have had my house sprayed, Cat taken in and checkes out. She was fine. I have Cancer and now am dealing with this. Take a Stool sample into your Doctor. They can and will get into you stomach, anas, and other places that can distroy your life. You have to be smarter than your Doctor. If you can find on that will even treat you!!!

I am not sure if I still have scabies. I just did my 2nd application of Elimite,(the first was 6 days ago) and I really am not sure if the first one helped. I developed flesh colored bumps mainly all over my arms and forearms about 2 days ago. Before that it was red, pimple like bumps, but they weren't on my arms at all, they were on my inner thighs, the back of my knees and my buttocks. Does this mean that I am getting better, and am experiencing the "post scabies eczema" that they say you get? I'm so confused, and I am going on vacation in a month and want this to be gone! Any information would help. Thank you guys so much!
