I have ran out of medicine this month. I usually take oxycodone 10/325 I have chronic back pain daily and can not get thru the day without my meds. I dont know what to do. I do not want the doc thinking i am a junkie. all i can say is this month was really a bad month for me. i am a week short on my med's and am very much in pain. Can anyone help me? I am in orlando

does anybody understand why needles r legal in sum states but pharmacies wont sell them to you. its such a retarded catch 22. you wont give someone a clean rig so they r supposed to share or use a dirty one which ends up causing more harm then the drug ever did. I f someone bangs pills they goin to find a way. any thoughts

If you are truly in pain and have been diagnosed with a medical condition which results in moderate to severe chronic pain your physican will not think you are a junkie. Unless, of course, your physican is an asshole. In patients with chronic back pain it is only natural that they will experience good and bad days. I would recommend, as both a health care professional and a patient with chronic pback pain that you tell your physican exactly that: YOU HAVE HAD A BAD MONTH. Explain the circumstances and most likely you doctor will prescribe more. It is also quite likely that your doctor will even continue to prescribe you more to give you a little leeway in case you have another "bad patch." Three 10/325 Percs isn't a whole lot in the scheme of things. Your physican shouldn't be suspicious unless you have asked for more in the past because "someone stole them" or "they fell down the drain." If you are truthful and you need them you shouldn't have a problem. I suggest you make an appointment now instead of allowing your prescription to run out. If you think your pain is bad now, just wait, your pain will be horrific while you are experiencing withdrawl. Plus you will have the nausea, vomiting, cramping and diarrhea to look forward to. Be scared of that not calling your doctor. Call now.

I have just been told recently that drug companies will not be making the 80mg ER oxcodone anymore. Is this true? Now my doctor won't prescribe morphine sulfate which according to the pharmacy is comparable. What am I supposed to do now? I have been on this pain medication for RSD and fibromyligia for some time now. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know.

Hello, I just went to the pharmacy to refill my Oxycodone ER script and was told that they are no longer manufacturing the generic form. Being forced to get the name brand Oxycontin ER naturally Arkansas Medicaid would no longer pay for it. I was forced to pay the high copay on my husbands private insurance which we really could not afford since I am on disability and we have 3 kids in the house. There are months we barely have money to buy groceries. I take this medication for a condition that causes me extreme pain and I am also on chemo drugs due to the immune effects of my disease. (No it is not Aids.) I don't abuse my Medicaid because I don't put the scripts that I can get at Wal-Mart for $4.00 on it because I know I might need a more expensive one later therefore there are months I do not use up all my slots. I just don't understand why they would stop production of a generic drug so widely prescribed. I not only take the Oxycontin ER three times daily but the Oxycontin IR for BTP up to twice a day. This is just a way to earn the drug companies more money without regard for us little people. Sorry for venting but I am very frustrated at this point.

you are very wrong about God. I sought out a well known pastor and had him pray over me, like a 2 minute prayer..swear. and I was delivered, healed, whatever u wanna call and never suffered one second of pain, NO WITHDRAWALS AT ALL!!! I swear. so YES, do give your oxy addiction to God and let HIM show u who is KING. He already had His son Jesus pay the price for our sins, the bible says "by His stripes we are healed" and IT IS TRUE!! Not one second of discomfort and I was a HEAVY user. I had tried many times to quit and never made it thru the 1st day until I got prayed over. thats all it took. THANK U LORD!!!
