Can you take Methadone with oxycodone together???high tolerance

I usually take about anywhere from
180-200mg of oxy a day....for about over 3 years on em.I also take SOMA 1 a day & Kpins ...I'd run out & cannot find anyone here! So I'd contacted a old family friend that had methadone 10mg for pain not addiction .she'd gave me two. So can u take em with oxy O yeah she'd also gave me 4 perc 10/325s which I cannot believe she's had all along!

Yes you can take them together. I had surgery while on methadone last year and was on half a dozen other narcotic pain medications at the same time.

Yeah you can mix methadone in low doses with other pain meds. Once it gets over a certain number it starts blocking opiates, but im not a doctor so I don't know the exact number. 10mg should be fine though. Hope it helps.

yeah I guess that does sound right....because from what I'm learning is that Done stays in u awhile! Long half life! So I guess in small amounts it should help my low dosage of oxy for pain NOT EUPHORIA! Until I'm back on my reg dosage of oxy? & it takes awhile to build up to block etc. So it shouldn't tamper with my low dosage? At all?

I wouldn't mess with it at all. If I remember correctly from what the doc told me, the methadone just fills the receptors and fills them for longer so you'd need more oxy than normal to achieve what you used to achieve. Does that make sense?

I know but understand I'd use to take a lot of oxy so I'm in pain & wd! From cutting back oxy dose....it's gonna go back to normal this week ...my question is if a low dose will of done will help my wd? But also taking what oxy I have left until!

Okay so I'm on methadone for pain, not addiction. If you're being prescribed methadone and you're taking other things you've likely lost your mind! I'm test everytime I go to my dr which is every 2 weeks. Abusing drugs is not for me and I'd not want to take a chance on not getting my medication bc I wanna be stupid one time and loose my meds for good!!! It's not worth it!!!!

Yes you can take them together no questions asked.... I have taken 70 mgs of methadone and on top of it did about 5-6 oxycodone 15mg so I would say you are straight

Even though this is an old post I will still comment. I get rx'd dones and 30's each month. I still get adaquate pain releif and if my pain spikes and I take a little larger dose of either I do get some euphoria, enough to know that if I took more I'd be " feelin it "

I take 120 mg liquid methadone from a clinic i go to every day. I also get take homes for the weekend. So my question is, if i dont take one out of the three bottles one day out of the three i have the take homes for.. im obviously gonna be craving something for sleep sake and also pain relivf sake. So.. if i miss a dose.. but dosed the day before, will i be able to take a few 7.5s oxycodone to feel better? Or will i not feel them?

yeah if you have a higher tolerance and how much of both your taking i mean i take 110mg of methadone everyday and ill still do a opana 40 or other stuff sometimes and you dont really feel the other stuff at all ecause the methadone blocks it out so its kinda a waste but if your methadone hasnt completely gotten rid of withdrawal you can take other pills with it till yo feel better atleast at my clinic when people first start most of them are doing other stuff with there methadoone till they get to the right dose for them

Ok great.. cuz sometimes id like to save one of the three bottles i get as my weekend takehomes.. and replace it w. A few orr more 7.5s that day.. if i can sacrifice holding onto a bottle of 120 mg methadone for a day i may need the few extra milligrams ..than id rather do that. If i start feeling like shit, and since its just one day im planning to skip .. than ill take the oxys to hold out on saving my bottle to add 10 more milligrams everday after i dose at the clinic.. since im having such a hard time getting Doc to up my dose anyways

So i took my usual 120 mg dose yesterday .. since theres a half life.. can i take a few oxycodone 7.5s today instead of the methadone if i start feelin shitty?

I take from 40-50mg of oxycodone a day for pain from a back surgery and I don't like how I feel about 12 hrs later. It's like w/d is starting. So I have about 30 of the 5mg methadone left from a old prescription, so I'm wondering is that enough to take, the 5mg for the withdrawal feeling to go away? And how long should I wait after taking a oxycodone to take the methadone? And is 30 of them enough to help the withdrawals go away completely and not get withdrawals from the methadone? It's early in the morning so I do hope this makes sense. All I want to do is take low dosage of methadone and curious if what I have left is enough to help the withdrawals of the other go away. Ty.

I'm not a doc., don't know how much to take to stave off withdrawals. I can just say that I started at 10mgs a day, for pain relief. And I felt NO withdrawals from the rapid acting opiates I had been on. Don't know when you re-up with your doc., but remember the drugs screens. It won't be out of your system in 3 days, like regular rapid acting opiates.

Ty, I don't know yet if I should take them, I just hate that the oxycodone did help for awhile and now it's just a couple hrs to relieve the pain but within hrs I feel w/d. And I know I built a tolerance to it, I just want off it, I don't see my Dr until the end of January, so not sure how long I would need to take them for without having w/d from either one.

that makes sense, I've been going to the pain clinic since 1997 and have been on everything under the sun and I was on oxy 160's oxycodone 30's and methadone 40mg and I know the more they upped my methadone the more they HAD to up my oxy's
