Everything in America is about the money. These doctors would not be working at a pain clinic if there wasn't insane amounts of money to be made doing it. The same thing goes for why they became a doctor in the first place, regardless of whether or not they choose to work at a pain clinic. And the people going to the doctors are in it for the money, either directly or indirectly. Some go so they can sell their script and make cash, some go so they can take their script and stop spending two thirds of their paychecks on them from the street, and some go because they are actually in pain and need the pain medication so they can goto work and make MONEY.

No one does anything for any reason other than money. Thats how it always has been and always will be, we are capitalists.

With A name like KMKStoner420, I have absoulutly no doubt that your "Opinion" is purely based on concern for "the real pain patients" and not just cause you like to get blotto by swallowing a handful of pills for kicks. jackass, do the inevitable and overdose already.

Without these clinics it would be nearly impossible for the people that are in pain to get their meds. I've heard countless stories from people in other states that are in severe pain who cannot get the medication they need no matter what they do or where they go(other than down here in Florida of course). This applies to any kind of pain, I've talked to cancer patients in Kentucky who cannot get anything stronger than 10mg lortabs.
In my opinion it is better to have these clinics all over the place and treatment readily available than to have one or two within a 100 mile radius with doctors who are too afraid of the DEA to give their patients what they actually need. I'd rather see the real pain patients getting treated properly and have some people who don't really need it slip through the cracks and also get the medication than to see the clinics closed and no one get the medication, including those who really need it.

I am from KY and travel to Florida once a month to a clinic i would not reveal the name of the clinic for anything in the world if you leave it up to the majority of Kentuckians they will mess up any thing and every thing if they would go to work every day and need there pain meds like i do there would not be all the problems and over dose problems i was in a car wreck several years ago that hurt me very bad along with a incurable disease that can only be treated with chronic pain maintance i love coming to florida and spending the time in a beautiful state my wife comes as well we do not sell our meds nor do we abuse them by taking them other than perscribed the pain clinics in south florida are a great thing it has cut down on Heroin and cocain flow all over the country sorry for all the dirty officials that make millions a year to look the other way when the cargo ships bring these drugs to not only south florida but all over the world. I do not think all pain clinics will be closed nor do i think all the non injured clients from out of state will stop coming. The crack down is only causing Florida dealers to bring thousands of meds to places like KY and make twice the money that they would normally make on the street in FL. It wont be long and KY jails will be full of FL natives and there familys as they send all of them to different clinics to get meds. So in the long run leave the clinics alone let them weed through people that need or dont need but i my self thank South Florida and my clinic i now go to my kids soccer games i can work just a little bit better with out filling for dissability due to the fact i could not do my job frome being in so much pain i may take strong narcotic pain meds but my qauality of life is much better than it was two years ago before i started traveling to florida to get help. Im sorry for all the Ky and neighboring states that abuse a good thing, I remember on my third month coming to florida to see my Doctor the nurse and i were talking and she said ya know Ky people are going to ruin this and she is right but it has been two years and i still talk to her once a month and go to the same clinic i hope for the sake of people like my self things continue to work and we live a better life as for the Dope boys and Dr shoppers look out its no fun behind the fence and thats where you will eventually be then lets see how many roxis you can buy and sell in a week. You are right, my real concern is not the real pain patients. My real concern is keeping the government out of peoples personal lives. In my opinion it is our right as human beings to do whatever we want to do with our own bodies. And it is also my opinion that the right to use mind altering substances is a right that is protected by this statement:
"We hold these Truths to be self-evident, that all Men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness."

Sound familiar?

If a person decides that their life is better because they take a little blue pill then no one should throw them in prison for attempting to improve their quality of life. This goes for people wanting to change the way they feel mentally just as much as it applies to those who want to change the way they feel physically(i.e. chronic pain)

So yes, you are right, my main concern really isn't the people in pain, it is our rights as people living in a "free" country.
But even if my point of view has no merit, and using a mind altering substance is not a right, then the fact that some people actually are in chronic pain and NEED pain medications in order to function as normal human beings(or if not function just like the rest of us, at least help them wake up in the morning without wanting to put a shotgun in their mouth to end the pain) is more than enough reason to keep these pain clinics open and available to those who really do need them just to survive.

To all of those who want all of Florida's clinics shut down, I wish that you could live the life of any one of the millions of people who have severe chronic pain, just for one minute. But only for a minute because that is all it would take to change your mind. I would not wish that kind of permanent pain on anyone, even ignorant assholes like yourself.

i have a daughter that lives in jacksonville, and plan on going down there to visit next week. i am currently prescribed medication here in pa for ankylosing spondylitis. they cannot give me any of the tna inhibitors because i contracted hep c thru a needle stick at work. i am a rn. the plan is to wean off and go on other forms of treatment after my interferon injections are finished but i have 8 month to go. both the rheumatologist and the liver dr agree this is all they can do right now is treat the pain. the treatment for the hep makes my pain worse but as usual with the doctors here it is very difficult to get what you need. i've been on them for a year and my doctor will not go beyond every 8 hrs 3 x a day. he treats me like a junkie when i tell him it is not enough. meaning that after a year my tolerance is up of course and 15mg of oxycodone lets me get up and function but after a year of being on them i NEED to take one every 4 hrs just to keep the withdrawl away. so i run out and its a nightmare. i would like to visit one of the pain clinics while down there and have the means to fly down each month if i have to. i have a apt with pain dr here aug 9th and im hoping he will increase me to every 4 hrs but they like to just do injections here but there is no guarentte he will do it and im not goin to make it with what i have til then. i do not and will not sell them i'd never do that. that is a consequence i am not willing to pay. and i don't wanna be on the street buying them either. want 12 for 15mg here or 25 for 30 it is rediculous. i refuse to do that. does anyone know where i could go in the jacksonville area that would pretty much guareentee id get prescribed. i have a legitimate need and do not sell. id hate to waste my time and money for nothing. please email me at lmichelle1967@yahoo.com to discuss privatley. i did see one advertised that takes out of state and walk ins and has on site pharm. how much would i expect to pay for a prescription of say 360 15's or 240 30's at the pain clinics there?

Ok, I am reading away here and wondering if there is any pain management clinics in the Ocala/Villages or even tampa area that take medipass. I have real pain, not just the "pain" most have just to get what they want. I have deteriating discs, dehydrating discs, spurs on my spinal column causing nerve damage and right now I am getting 90 15 mg roxicodones a month. Now I have been off work for sometime and that amount and mg does me fine, As long as I am home and dont have to work. But Now i am fixing to go back to work, running lifts, up and down ladders carriing weights in excess of 60 lbs in each hand, and gonna be working 12 hr day minimum. So now I need tofind a pain management clinic that takes medipass if possible, if not one that is cheap and not going to give me the run around. I have up to date MRIs, and X-rays so if anyone has any info i could use in the areas above please give me a email shout out at RICATAYSPAINTING@aol.com

Flapster did you ever find a pain clinic in that area. There is a great one in Tampa. This Doctor doesnt play games. Legit pain only!! He doesnt believe in epideral shots. He prescribes pain meds only. He was once the chief of anest. for TRMC. Tampa pain clinic, Dr Vandercar. He will drug test you. Requires documentation of your illness. MRI and XRAY reports ect...Good luck

There are a few great places to go in Florida that are legit and will do all they can to help you anyone thinking of going into Georgia is crazy Dea has two places one in cartersvilleville named north Georgia wellness group and another in Calhoun stay away from north Florida wellness group they are Dea

I was wondering if there were any suggestions on pain clinics in Orlando? I see the people over at http://www.orlandopainmanagementclinic.com . have a new patient special for $225? Can this be for real? Is there something I should be on the lookout for with these cheaper clinics? They seem really nice on the phone, just kinda skeptical I guess.

drham nc has a good one that legit all the way. great staff and pharmacies dont have a problem filling
