I STARTED opana 20 er today..I took needle nose plyers after putting the pill in a small bowl and hitting it with a hammer..it flattens the pill like a pancake, then with 2 pair of pliars I grasp it and twist until it breaks in half...then take them by mouth..they are open and they work faster and you do feel it within 10 mins...better than all day waiting...and the neighbors think I am nuts banging stuff in the yard at 11 at night!!LOL

I had to get the new ones after going to 5 pharmacies.....so I devised my own way to break them open!!!Good luck!!

omg i plugged them & it was rad. I thnk i will stick to that method thanx so much for all ur advice. Ive been stuck with these & oral method just wasnt cutting it hardly relieved pain. I just wanna knw if i did decided to IV how would i break down the OLD stop sign opana??

Well i can tell u that purdue never stopped making the OG OC formulation they had to change the formulation because they had major lawsuits dealing with oxy. Perticurlarly having to do with mainstream united states adicts complaining they were taking more than they should due to it not being a 12hr medication like it was put out on the market and pushed by physicians. False advertising to 30 million people something had to be done. But the still make the old formulatiom u can find it everywhere in canada, but i did hear recently that canada was thinking on taking on the new ones as well. As far as opana they will return but not until another company like mallinkrodt makes them an offer for their trademark. I did hear from ENDO's rep that they are already negotiating and that there was never any shortage it was their way of using the media to slowly introduce the new formulation so their woulnd be panic like with when purdue did their switcher-ooooo

of I read it this thread but it didnt work well. the best result I had was taking them after dinner. didnt do well after breakfast but I did have a few instances of them not digesting. gross!

yea the best better is get the generics. its a lower dose if your on 10mg but at least it will work

Thank u so much. I'm def feeling some relief. I mean there is NOTHNG like snorting the stop signs. I never shot them. Had a serious problem with oxy 80s for a long time. When I got these new opanas I thought maybe it was a blessing in disguise cause I felt like I was playing with fire snorting them n didn't want to keep on lest I start shooting again. So I was cool til I got home n started taking them and got NADA no pain relief and apparently no meds at all cause I was having withdrawal symptoms. Anyway, thanks to you no more withdrawals and some pain relief is better than none. It takes a little while to start working n it doesn't last long enough and I'm on 40s so I'm going to run out way early. Sadder than that is the fact that I have paper for next month so I don't see PM doc til June. That means Inm stuck with this crap again next month. I'm going to try to call n get them to let me come but u know how that goes. I'm afraid they'll see it as "drug seeking" and kick me out. It's so disgusting when you have legit pain and your trying to do right n the damn pharm companies screw EVERBODY over. What I don't get is do they really think that anyone is going to stay on this expensive placebo? That's what they feel like when u swallow them. I mean really r they insane??? And my heart breaks for cancer patients n people with unbearable pain. I can imagine what they r going through. Bless their hearts not only r they in unfathomable pain but they r also withdrawing. That is sooo wrong n Endo should be SUED for every penny they have. I hope they feel the loss in their pocketbooks big time.
Anyway sorry to rant like this. And please don't try shooting this crap anymore. I know you only did a little last time n I promise I know how bad you want to. I was the same way but it's not worth it. What u described was very scarey n u could die n a heartbeat. Just b patient til u can maybe change to the generic 15ERs r something. oh and how longer did you soak them for? just make an appointment and ask to be put on 15s so you can get generics. tgats what im voing to.done. just say that its cheaper and they make generics on certain formulas. if its a little less dosage go for it its better thank this
