Also everytime a dr you went to is shut down all your personal information is kept with the dea and matched against all the other files they have gotten...so basically if you have been to more than one doc that was shut down your info will show up more than once...not good for you! Didn't they implement the PDMP late last year in FL?? Or is it still in the works? I know they are gearing up to have the PDMP to start in GA in '13. I have read how they work but don't know the details. I have a lot of reading to do to broaden my horizons! haha!

My pcp writes my pain meds. I only went to pm docs for procedures and my pcp kept writing the meds. So I have never even gotten a narcotic from a pain doc. And have never been to a pill mill doc.

Do/did the procedures the PM doc help? What kind of procedures have you had done? They've come out with so many since I was getting them!!! You're blessed that your PCP is compassionate, as a lot of them want to refer their patients to a PM doctor!!(Count your blessings!)

I would be careful in brunsw...they have for sure been in the spotlight for a while now (especially since the agency training facility is there, an attraction you can visit as well) take the time to go buford, ga to a legit place you can continue to visit and not have to worry if they will be there next week)

He writes me 120 Percy's 10/650, 30 oxycodone 15 and 30 morphine or. 15 mg per month. I see him every 4 months but can go in sooner if needed. With PM doc I had all the different types of injections and finally a radio frequency something or other where they deaden the nerve endings at the spine so they no longer transmit the pain signal to the brain.

Yikes! Be careful with the Perc's 10/650! That's a LOT of acetaminophen!! I'm surprised at that amount. I assume he gives you post-dated Rx's then? Legally he can write a triplicate. That's good. I'm wondering if you had the nerve ablation where they go in and burn the nerves? That sounds kind of like what you're describing. I just had the FJI's (diagnostic) to see if I'd be a good candidate for the ablation. That's cool that you don't have to go every month. Hope the meds work well for you. Doc kind of shocked me at what I was changed to!!!

I have to remember to call Lynn to get a refill and he will write it and I pick it up.

I need some advice. If I signed a contract with a PMD will I get caught if I go. To my. PCP and get a script also. He writes better scripts.

Oh, okay. You had stated in your earlier post that you received "4 refills". Doctors (in THIS state) can write a triplicate Rx as long as they are post-dated say, every 28 days.

bakpainz wrote: I need some advice. If I signed a contract with a PMD will I get caught if I go. To my. PCP and get a script also. He writes better scripts. I could have SWORN I posted a reply to this a couple of hours ago?!?!?! Where in the hell did it go???? Now I wish I could just copy and paste my original response. I will reply....AGAIN! And HOPE that it is posted THIS time!! Your question is will you get caught if you get your PCP to write an Rx for pain (I'm assuming) after having signed a contract with your PMD? First of all, it depends on the state in which you reside.(IDK if you reside in GA. I am a native of GA....lived here all of my life ~ over 40 years). HYPOTHETICALLY speaking: if your PMD Rx's 15mg of Roxicodone and your PCP writes 30mg Roxicodone, you'll be fine ~ even with insurance. I would HIGHLY SUGGEST to use a DIFFERENT PHARMACY regardless of what your PCP Rx's. Your doctor(s) cannot call your insurance provider and find out ANY information about ANY OTHER DOCTOR.(This is what our insurance provider told me within the past couple/few months, due to the HIPAA laws). Your doctor(s) can, however, call the pharmacy to find out what you have had filled there within x amount of time.(I have had a doctor do this in the past). The state of GA does not *yet* have the PDMP. It is supposed to take effect in 2013. IF after reading this, you still have questions, please do not hesitate to send me a private message. I don't mind, at all, answering your question(s) and, if need be, going into more details.(However, I prefer that I don't have to post my email address on this forum). Sorry, I'm just funny that way. I HOPE that I have answered/explained enough, but if not, let me know. TC! P.S. I would suggest that you soon get all of your pain meds Rx'd by ONE doc, whether it be by your PMD or your PCP. Eventually you will HAVE to do this!! GL! P.P.S. Keeping my fingers crossed that this will post...THIS time! Aarrgghhh!!!
