When I wake up tomorrow and not take my pills, cause your telling me that since I take them the way my doc tells me, I'll still be fine tomorrow by not taking my pills cause I take them as perscibed. Tune in for tomorrow!!!!!!!!!! with the half life of methadone you are likely not to feel WD until 48-72 hours... and good luck getting off of it. meth creates the worst WD of any opiate. not only that but instead of 3-5 days of WD it is over 4-5 weeks... followed by a few months of depression and anxiety.

MSara wrote: <quoted text> Christ. I know that many of you have already countered this ridiculous claim, but I can't help but add my "two cent" response. Continuous release meds, when taken as directed are far less addicting than immediate release opioid analgesics. It is for this reason that the most current trend in pain management (through evidence-based practice) is to eliminate the use of "breakthrough" medication and increase the baseline dose of scheduled narcotics. I know, I know...Ive tackled this already on another thread. One of the reasons IRs are so addicting is that people like the rush, then low, then RUSH then low... Heres an analogy, continuous release is like a Disneyland ride whereas IRs are like going to Magic Mountain, its quick and freaky and burns the hair off your balls, you're so pumped up you run and jump over ropes to get back in line just to do it again. You ever see anybody running to get back on to the Sky-Tram?? lol.

Theres a good Mnemonic way of remembering what Oxycontin is, its to realise its a compound word describing what the medicine is.
OXYcodone CONtinuous release....
put the two together OXY-CONTIN...
OxyContin
Its frightening how many people dont even know what medicine they are taking.
I have a list of opioid medicines given to me by my doctor, i wonder how many people know there are three type of opioids in Pain management, three classes or levels??
Anybody wanna take a stab?

i personally like the mallinckrodt brand but have not tried actavis yet, nor have i tried the name brand roxi's. I'm prescribed 90 15's a month and have thus far come to trust the M brand the most. I'm filling my script tonight at wallgreens and cant decide whether to get the actavis brand or Mallinckrodt. I'll be forward. I snort and abuse and want to know what will f(#k me up the most. any thoughts?

I always just fill my script with the Mallies. Is there a better generic out there? My pharmacist told me most people go with the Mallies. So, I have yet to try anything else.

XYZ - I know who you are, and you should be ashamed of yourself. Ripping me off like that. You've hurt a great deal of people and innocent animals who were counting on that money for help. I'm the idiot who trusted you, granted, but I hope you never get anyone to trust you ever again. HOW DARE YOU! How do you live with yourself? How do you sleep at night? All the lies....jeez alou, you've made it so I never want to trust or help anyone ever again. For shame.

magnet wrote: can my druggist refuse to refill my oxicodone script even though 2 refills are listed it is illegal to write refills for a SCH II, you have to have a F2F each month. your doc could not have written you 2 refills for any med containing oxycodone. including combo meds such a percocet / percodan.(if you are in the USA anyway) the DE@ may have passed a law this year that docs can post date up to 3 prescriptions of a SCH II, but you have to psychically have the prescriptions on hand, no pharmacy out there will not put refills for a SCH II in the system. with that being said, not many docs are conforming to this, and for good reason. when taking a substance that can cause addiction and/or dependance, the doc wants to see you each month and make sure you are taking your medications properly.

As far as the Mallinckrodt brands of 15's. The white ones are junk and don't last long, 4 hours tops. The green are better, and the yellow are the best, lasting 6 hours or more.

The green are better, and the yellow are the best, lasting 6 hours or more. the yellow 15's were ethex, they are no longer being made. their white 30's were found to have up to 40mg in them and they were all recalled due to ramifications from the FDA.(and DEA) so now, all 15s are green and all 30's are light or neon blue: manufactures still producing are: mallinkrodt actavis xanodyne (brand) Qualitest (V imprint and neon color) worst for pain IMHO and someone stated that sun pharmaceuticals is making generic roxicodone now, but i have never seen them and they are not listed on pharmer.org ... so i dont know about those. in my opinion mallinkrodt and actavis work best on my pain. but everyone is different i guess. and yes, the ethex were good when they were being manufactured (considering they had more active ingredient than stated!) sneaky bastages!
