I've been reading on the web that supposidely one can get really high off suboxone by being able to take out the opiate from it? Anyone hear of something like this or have tried it? I thought it was a drug that could not be abused or if taken continously you will not get high such as using oxy or heroin. Please share your thoughts, experiences, and knowledge. Thanks

I went to a licenced psychiatrist for my script of suboxone. I told him what i have been doing for the last 2 years (oxy) and that i wanted to get off and was serious about it. I had to agree to join a IOP (Intensive Outpatient Program) because it triples the success rate if im in a program. Im on my 4th day of suboxones and it was the best decison i have ever made. NO WITHDRAWLS AT ALL. I take 1 8mg a day and feel perfect which means that i can function daily without withdrawl symptoms and ill tell you that i went through severe withdrawls when i couldn't get my hands on oxy. As of now im just looking foward to tapering off suboxone eventually and be sober completely.

Thanks the subutex can get ya high, not suboxone, theres no seperating the naloxone in the drug, but if subutex is snorted(burns/tastes like you threwup in your mouth/nasal passage and breathed in sweetnlow at the same time)but youll grt speedy as hell from it

yea first vist to the psyc. was 300 and he gave me a script of 15 that costed me 50 bucks at the pharmacy. came back 4 days later see how i was doing and that was another 200 for the appointment..going back next friday and that will prolly be another 200 but ill get a script of atleast 60 suboxones and the next time i see the psyc. will be a month or two.... its pricey but it beats always trying look for o.c. and always hav worries when im on that last pill of what im gonna do if i don't find shit. i got pretty great insurance so im sure my next script for suboxone will be no more then $20 for 60 pills....prolly cheaper...

Doctors do not get any kind of compensation for prescribing a certain medicine that is a myth.

gilbert..kyd's logic makes sense. why do you think that they don't get kickbacks on scripts they write? I would say the new drugs that have been out since maybe 95' are being advertised to the doctors and told they will receive extras if they write scripts for anyone who slightly needs them.
maybe kyd exagerated on the two weeks paid vacation but maybe it more like 5-7 days vacation at a nice resort that basically emphasizes the perks and kickbacks they will receive if they write scripts for a certain drug they are tring to bring to the market.

I know what I'm talking about because I have been in medicine for the past ten years. My best friend is a doctor his parents are both doctors his cousin is a doctor. I know them all and have talked to them since kyd wrote what he wrote and it is not true especially the part about writing scripts for only one kind of med, its all false I know first hand.

Listen to all of you. I am a doctor who deals with all types of addiction. Listen to me when I tell you that I prescribe the necessary medication specific to each patient. To do otherwise would be immoral. Not to mention that you would be putting you career and reputation on the line. Many of my friends are also physicians, ranging from GP's to specialists of every kind. Yes, of course we get samples from representatives. And yes we do experiment. Keeping a close eye on patient reactions to drugs. The bottom line is a good Dr. will prescribe, to the best of his ability and diagnosis, the right medicine for each patient. Frankly I am insulted that anyone would say otherwise. I am not in the habbit of taking bribes. Although I am sure there are some bad Docs out there who do. But it is in every way shape and form illegal to do so. Lastly, any seminar I attend is paid for in full by Me. If I want to take my family with me that is my decision.

using dope about 1-2bundles a day, only need suboxone for a few days to kick, how is it possible to get just a few days supply without the whole outpatient, and group therapy which is uneeded for me. Any suggestions on a few days supply, other than going to people I know around my area?

the psychiatrist also has to have a liscense and be credited to prescibe suboxone. Not every psychiatrist can. But it is easy once you find one.
