is oxycodone 40mg the same as oxycontin 40 mg

Looks like the "Moon" has eclipsed as he's not posting. Shooting drugs like that merely to get high has lasting and damaging effects on one's body. Proves once again how powerful the effects of these medicines can have on an individual. I'm no hypocrite. Been down the road myself. Light came on and I decided I did not want to live my life potentially crippled, injured, sick all the time, or unable to cope. Live responsibly and healthy. Use the meds for the use intended and donot jack up the dosage just for that buzz. Ultimately it's not worth it.

So if you wanted to shoot oxycodone 10-325mg, how do you get it to dissolve completely. I tried but it turns into this gel like liquid and will not pull into the syringe very easily. Is there something I need to do to separate the oxy from the rest?

there is a miracle drug called sebuxone (seb-ox-one) It is an opiate blocker type of med that kills almost all physical withdrawal symptoms. A dr, had to have a special license to prescribe these so I would ask before making an apt. if they can prescribe this. I had to go to an addiction specialist when kicking Heroin and I have been clean for over 3 months now and did not throw up or any of that one time!!! The hardest part is staying off and getting over the depression, but physically you will be ok for the most part. These babies are a miracle if there is a 1 or 2 day drought if you know what I mean. Hope this helps you out...l.

I've been on Subutex (same as Suboxone but does not contain Nalexone which is the substance that blocks opiates) for 6 months now after having an intense habit with heroin and pain medications. I must say that if you really do want to stop your habit, this medication will make your withdrawal symptoms pretty much non-existent. The only thing I missed in the beginning was that you don't really get that mental sense of well being like you do with oxys but I was so happy to not have the chills and terrible muscle pains that go along with opiate w/d. Subutex/Suboxone is a great step in the right direction you just have to make sure to take it when you are in full blown withdrawal because if you take it soon after you have had opiates in your system it can put you immediately into acute withdrawal. I've been through the whole methadone clinic experience too and I like the Subutex (bupropion) route. I've been clean for 6 months and only take my Subutex and xanax which are prescribed for me. Just my .02.
P.S. I've injected my share of oxycodone in various forms and I always thought this substance was better taken orally. Please don't try to tell me I didn't prepare it right or didn't now how to inject because I would get a rush but it was never worth the health risk I was taking. I don't recommend heroin use but if you want to shoot something just go right to the H and stop wasting your time.
P.P.S - Chef CRE, you would never want to prepare a 10/325 or any oxycodone product containing acetominophen. Most users stick to the pills that contain only oxycodone and various fillers/binders (ex: roxicodone, oxycontin). There are ways to extract oxycodone from something like a 10/325 but it's hardly worth the effort IMO.

break up a 40mg.
The buzz dies in a few weeks,so
I add tylonol 3 with it.

Its a chemical soup, but keeps me going.

I"ve known people who died from taking too
much, so one has to be careful not to
increase too much (go off it for a few
weeks and suffer the withdrawl for best
effects when getting back on at a lower dose)

Where do most of the ones who don't have
an RX get it from?
How much is the going street rate these days?

Both of my kids started out snorting lortabs and percocet, they moved up to the oc's, and shooting them up. When the money ran out and/or they couldnt get oc's, someone turned them on to crack, as a substitute. Now they both are in and out of jail for drug and theft charges,stealing , forgery, you name it, just to get the money to buy crack, it is highly addictive, and rehab and jail hasn't helped. I figured that it was not likely to extract the good stuff from the oxycodone that I got for my recent back surgery. But hey, I havent shot up Heroin since December 3rd and now won't have that mental itch on what if. So I guess that is a good thing. My wife found my stash, needle and spoon included, the morning of Dec 2nd, after a year of lying and using so she filed for divorce. If it werent for my parents dragging my butt out to Cali to get away from everything, (I'm 25 by the way) I would be in the same boat that I used to be in. Now my wife has reconsidered and I visit her and my daughter every two weeks in tx and am moving back to Dallas in March. I consider myself pretty lucky to have gotten the help I needed but most of all to have not lost my family. I hear alot of similar stories at my Na meetings but with an alternate ending if you know what I mean. The mental depression was the hardest part of quitting rather that the physical withdrawals, but now that all of that is over with, I feel better that I did for the last 6 months of using...

Are you talking about oxycontin? the last street prices I heard was anywhere from $35-40 for an 80mg around 20 for a 40 and I'm not even sure about 20mg. Don't see too many 20's where I am. This was early last year I haven't messed with them off the street for awhile.

I have been on oxycodone HLC CR 10MG for about a week and getting less than expected results. I take two a day and would a third cause me any problems. I need to be more pain free next sunday as I am attending a three hour concert.

what u are taking is the same as percocet 10mg w/o the tylenol, I would say if it isnt working as taken, then crush the pill w/ a coin (put a $bill) over the pill push down w/ a quarter... then take it... like a b/c powder or a goodys, as opposed to upping the dose, itll work quicker and keep your dose down... remember the faster it works the faster it wears off , if you snort it you will get yourself a vicious habit that wont go away...

Will be having a epidural next monday with a second and third two weeks apart. This is C6-7 and hopefully steroids will work and won't have to call a nuerosurgeon. Thanks
