I take the time release 40mg pills, they are all I need and I dont seem to have a problem with them, I use them for disc problems in my back and the time release works for me. My problem is I lost my insurrance and these pills are crazy expencive, is there a fair pharmacy? When I used to go to the CVS or WALLGREENS it would say "You just saved 200.00" this is an example but I remember it was about 200.00. Now with no insurrance they are telling me that 180 pills are almost 1,000.00 yes one thousand dollars!!! I pay that for my house! I dont want to change pills and hope to get insurrance in a few months there must be a fair pharmacy that will sell these for the "200.00" I saved when I was paying 40.00 on insurrance for the brand, no one ever had generic? any help??

Unfortunately, that sounds about as cheap as you will get them. I paid about $1200 for 100 80's one when I had to pay out of pocket. Purdue does have a patient assistance program for those that can nit afford them, you might try that, but I think it takes a while. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

Maybe you oould get your doc to write for the instant release until you get your insurance back, they are a lot cheaper.

When you inject oxycodone or oxycontin you are only putting 30 or 40 mg's of oxycodone into your body. The rest of the product is filler, mostly in the form of Talc powder, the same stuff that is used for babies to keep them dry, etc.

If you must: taking oxycontin by any other method is safer than taking oxycontin via injection.
I would advise you to seek help and immediate medical attention, before you suffer from what will be a VERY painful death.
If you don't get help for yourself, do it for those that will miss you when you're gone.
There are other drugs, if you must, but injecting oxycontin will kill you, and MUCH, MUCH quicker than you're thinking. We are talking about weeks and months of use here, years, or even half-years. You are living on borrowed time my friend.

I dont quit understand this. Im not saying your wrong and i know its dangerous but u filter the solution with cotton. Is talc or the other binders water soluable? Ive been shooting oxycontin/oxycodone for a better part of a decade and have never had any issues with my lungs or any other health problem except for addiction and the destruciton of my soul.
