Yeah, really neat....full of scammers taking advantage of people in pain! This used to be a decent website with lots of good information and even good conversations. But unfortunately it has been overtaken by people stealing money from others that are truly hurting and hoping to get relief. Unfortunately, most of them get ripped off. Out of all the people selling on here I would bet that only 1 or 2 are actually legit. Yep, really neat website!

You are quite the optimist, Courtneey..........that might have been the case in the past, but in the current depraved environment on this forum, I think the number is closer to 0. This forum is now just a fishing ground for con artists who have conversations with themselves using multiple screen names - reading some of their threads here is like watching someone masturbate in public - very creepy and sad. The emotional maturity of many of these con artists is quite stunted, but what else would you expect from someone who can sleep at night after stealing money from people during the day? I wish there was a way to shut them down, but there will be con artists as long as their are gullible people to prey upon, so the best thing we can do is warn people every step of the way.

If you're going to try to sound smart when you insult people, learn how to use proper grammar. There's a difference between there-their-they're.

Of course there is a difference, and I did indeed type "their" instead of "there", so like most of the posts on this forum mine contained an error - and for some reason this fact is far more important to you than the content of my post. And I'm not trying to sound smart, I am expressing myself the way I do every day, and I am trying to warn others who have not realized what they are dealing with here on this forum.

It seems that you and I are the only two that saw this post from P....Yes you and I want him to come back...some of us still have questions about vitamins and other things.. and we miss him...But hey Brian...keep on keeping it real here..Topix is my secret additon for the moment..:) I like reading the posts...and always hope that at least a few people get some good advise from others that care...and not trying to scam..There are people that come to this forum to help others...I always thought P did that. Oh and all the other people that I got to know..they know who they are...

i have to agree. if that was/is the real piecit, i hope he comes back. i dont think i ever got the chance to post with him, but ive read alot of his posts and enjoyed what he had to say.
hello sophie and as always, have kind words to say about him or anybody for that fact. i think its sad, since ive been here, it seems like the scammers have taken over this board and alot of the good people have stopped posting or they dont post as often. i only hope it will soon get back to the way it used to be with people helping out one another instead of advertising their scams and trashing everyone. ahhh..dream a little dream. post ya later.

I enjoyed reading your post..and agree. When I first came here there was none of this going on. It amazes me that anyone would send money to people they don't know and get nothing in return. I always read your posts and you are one of the "good people" on here. Let's just hope it goes back to what it was in the past..

Hi all- I have been reading topix for a very long time and decided to finally join--officially! I hope I can be a useful member to this forum. I first started reading the posts bc it was interesting. I am a recovering addict so these things always interest me of course.Even if I am sober, for some reason I am drawn to reading about drugs, pills, and recovery related topics. I have been in reocovery for 3 years and it has been a long battle. I know lots about suboxone, methadone, meetings, treatment, sponsors, AA, NA, etc...The one thing I noticed on topix is that about a year ago, you could come to this website and vent, ask questions and get good help with issues in your life- whether is was pain or if it was addiction...and I noticed there was good feedback. Now, over the past year, its nothing but a bunch of junk and scammers. So, I hope I can help or make a small difference if anyone needs advice on something. I hope to make a positive impact like some of the others on here that I enjoy reading...

Some about myself: I am 36, a mom of 2 toddlers, in recovery, married, and have my own business. I am a busy mom , but happy and content. I used Heroin about ten years prior to kids...pills, but pretty much all opiate related drugs were my thing.
I have abused opiates in general for about 15 years. Been on suboxone 3 yrs now and have had a lot of success. I feel content, no cravings, enjoy life and help others. When I was using, it was all about the next pill or the next hit...now I can focus, get things done and be a productive person. Yes, 3 yrs is a long time to be on the suboxone, but for my track record, the quality of my life is better and the combination of meetings and the suboxone is a fantastic way of life. Its either that or I face high risks of relapse. My kids are impt to me, so that is just how it is. I have a sponsor and work with her on a regular basis..thats prettymuch it!:)

welcome. glad you finally started to post. i myself am pretty new here but inthe little time ive been here, ive seen this forum go down here. most of the good people have seem to be posting less now that alot of the scammers are on damn near every thread.
congrads on the three years clean. some people dont consider being on suboxone as being clean but i do. i said this to someone else that we addicts are broken people and some of do need that crutch to help us function. i was/am an addict to opiates also for about 6 yrs. ive been an practicing addict for about 20+ years. i have 1 1/2 years clean with only one slip a few weeks ago. it was just a one time use. ive been posting my progress and thoughts here and i couldnt believe the kind words of support and advice i received. that make me want to come back and im pretty sure im here to stay. i hope your here to stay also. just wanted to drop a post to say welcome and congrads on the three yrs clean. hope to post with you more in the future. post ya later.
