Be careful they both contain acetamenophen which in large doses is toxic to your liver. Darvocet is also very dangerous its active drug is Propoxyphene, this is a synthetic opiate and it will cause death in large doses.Be careful when self prescribing.

Hydro is much stronger, and gives a more calming feeling...Darv's make you gittery and sweaty, but they make you speedy..BOTH VERY HARD ON YOUR LIVER!!!!!!!! When taking either try to always drink a ton of water.

I was taking vicodin for a broken hand now they have me on darvocet what is the differnce? Sorry cant type well.

DARVOCETS ARE MUCH WEAKER, THEY ARE PROBALLY TRYING TO WEAN YOU OFF THE VICODIN.DARVOCET IS PRETTY MUCH USELESS,MIGHT AS WELL JUST TAKE SOME ALEVE OR TYLENOL .

propoxyphene is equivalent to a large dose of asprin or a good dose of ibuprofen...
its useless for tapering, codeine will work better
