How much Oxcontin or Oxycodone is dangerous?

I have had some 20 mg oxycodone controlled release pills in the past and would cut them in half and take only around 10 mg. I know cutting the pills in half is said to be dangerous, but do you think someone can overdose from this amount or method? Has anyone ever heard of someone overdosing on such a low amount of the drug?

Side note, how hard is it to become addicted or have problems with doing this if say you do it only 2-3 a month (ie taking 10 mgs at a time only once a week or so).

No risk of od @20 mg 2-3 x mos. Dont half them, take the whole 20.
