it's not really possible to speculate on pricing, too many variables: how close are you to the source? How many are availible? is it scarce? How much are you willing to pay?.20 to 1.00 a mg

I went to pain clinic today the Dr. wrote me a Prescription refill on the Oxycontin i asked her about the generic she told me that the generics are not being made anymore and the pharmacys are selling what they have left i asked her to write do not substitute on the oxycontin she did she agreed the name brand does work better with some chronic pain patients and the pharmacy tried to fill it with the generic i had to tell them it was checked to do not substitute cost me a 50.00 co pay verses the 10.00 but i think it works better i was pain free all day today just two tablets 40 mg
the cash price on the reciept was 798.28 for 120 tabs. crazy do you think the insurance co. really pays the 798.28 - the co pay of 50.00 i think this medication is a god send what a difference to work all day pain free instead of limping around work all day and complaining of pain i looked at the clock thinking it was around 2 pm it was 4:35 almost time to go home what a day.

Sounds like you need to get yourself a Canadian address and make a trip across the boarder to go shopping..... Shhh did I just type that?? lol

I picked up a script here in Canada at a local pharmacy yesterday for Oxycontin 40mg, 60 tabs for $19.10... Thank God we have insurance. They pick up the remainder 80-90%.

Even without insurance (im just looking at the break down of the cost on the "official receipt") To answer your question I have a hard time believing that the insurance company's pay anywere near that price. Its pretty sad how the industry can get away with charging such ridiculous prices. All the best!

NO, I know for sure your insurance com[any does not pay that. I don't see how they can get away with that, but some how they do.

Personaly I do not understand insurance company's. I had an MVA (moter vehicle accident)2 1/2 yrs ago. I sustained multipule fractures to my pelvis and broke my S1.(a vertebrae in my low back) I have had to deal with my insurance company day in and day out. If I could have done back flips in this condition I would have, just to get them from demanding things of me. Its ridiculous! I was in the hospital for 9weeks. I could not imagine having to pay this out of pocket. I understand ppl do, but thank God, not in Canada.

I can tell you one thing, If it was not for this drug I would be bed ridden. I can understand the abuse (kind of) It works its the abuse of any drug that makes it bad. People who become users or abusers have addictive personalities anyway. People complain about the insurance companies (so do I) But its the company that makes the drug that rips u off. How much does it really cost to make the drug anyway I am rambling Thats the way I see it

You've been quite a gadabout in recent weeks, but as the Sun enters Capricorn at the Solstice, you start to yearn for the comforts of home. You might even be tempted to cancel some forthcoming social events, so you can flop on your sofa and catch your breath.
