Yasmin is one of the latest in a growing line of birth defect products that’s designed to help women prevent unwanted pregnancies. It’s been largely successful over time, and there are many advantages to using Yasmin, also known as “Yaz” and “Yas” by some, which has led to a large volume of sales. Unfortunately, Yasmin has come under public scrutiny in recent days because of its alleged link to the development of serious side effects. If you or someone you love has suffered as a result of using Yasmin, you need to contact a defective drugs lawyer as soon as possible in order to schedule a free initial consultation. I was a perfectly healthy 27 yr old and i had a massive ischemic stroke. I had been taking Yaz for about 3-4 months. I'm still doing a liitle bit of recovery after 1.5 years later, but the doctors have given me a clean bill of health. Obviously ths md's took me off the birth control all together. They are in large agreement that the stroke was caused from yaz birth control.

I wanted to let you know that both my roommate (age 24) and myself (age 26) both suffered from ischemic strokes while on Yaz birth control. What are the chances of two roommates both having strokes under the age of 30? We were both completely healthy with no problems beforehand. Only common factor was the Yaz birth control that we can find. I had been on birth control since age 14 for ovarian cysts. Never had any problems until switched to Yaz. Very scary!

I am reading these posts and getting so angry at the drug company. I too at age 32 experienced a ischemic stroke due to YAZ!! I am a completely healthy individual except for the last 3 mos. that I was on YAZ. Can I ask how long in took all of you to recover? Thanks!

I am 32 and was recently given yasmin for abnormal bleeding and PCOS. I took it for one month after being off of birth control for several years. Not only did I have one of the worst periods I have ever had and gained 10 pounds, I also started feeling dizzy and lightheaded. Now, I'm wondering if I suffered some kind of minor ischemic incident. I have spoken to my doctor and told her that I want off of this medication. Take control of your lives ladies...These doctors are not looking out for you!!
