Anyone who is suffering hairloss from dropping the pill from years of taking it must know that your body gets used to those harmones and you need to go back on one that has been around and has a good background rep, well I read years ago when I was losing mine about a lady who went back on lo-estrin1.5/30 and I tried it and it stopped and my skin was better, This is somethin that takes time so your body rebalances...Dont give up it will go back...I did not get all my hair but it stopped and i have nice skin now...This is for anyone who is devistated about losing thier hair I hope this helps you like it has me...

When I started using the estradiol patch, my doctor (holistic) also recommended BioDim, a supplement that safely removes estrogen from your body after it's finished with it, to put it simply. One time I ran out of BioDim and my hair started coming out at an alarming rate, so needless to say, I ordered some more. In only a few days, the hair loss completely stopped. I get mine from Vitamin Research Products because I've been getting my vitamins from them for years & years. I believe their web site is vrp.com .

I have been on the patch for about 5 years now...yes five. After the first year I noticed my hair texture had changed to dull lifeless hair. My hair gradually started coming out as well. It took me all of those years to ut two and two together.I have been to the doctor, dermotologist...had blood work and couldn't figure it out.I finally decided to do research on the patch after all of the recent news reports and figured it was this stupid patch. Sunday I switched to birth control pills. I hope to God my hair will stop coming out soon now that I have switched. LAtely my hair will come out in very large amounts. My hair is very thin now and I am embarrassed about it. I'm only 28 years old. I'm glad I finally got off of patch and am looking forward to a brighter future. My hair loss has had me down for some years and it just gradually got worse and worse. I wish I could sue the makers...

I have tried to stop the patch twice and each time I have had significant hair loss. If anyone has a solution please post. I would love to stop the patch, but really don't want to be bald!

Hi, I was wondering if your hair is growing back after going on the patch again? I am losing a lot of hair! Please let me know. Christine wrote: I was on the pach for a year and switched over to the ring. When I did that all my hair started to fall out. I was told it was stress too. I had to put the two together becasue my doctor kecpt telling me I am normal. I cut my hair, but it kept falling out. I had no choice but to get back on the balding patch to stop the hair loss. I am crushed because I had long beautiful hair that came out in chunks.

I feel as if I am finally released from 2-3 years of prison time, which is about how long have been suffering in silence, shame, n despair due to my hair loss! At first, I thought it was due to stress and that my hair loss would go away. But when I noticed that I lost 60% of my scalp hair, I panicked. So I went for a check up. My stupid former Nurse Practioner couldn't diagnose anything. She was not willing to do further testing n did not want to refer me to an endocrinologist even though my DHEAS was out of range. I felt so hopeless. I prayed & cried for help every night, but God n Buddha either ignored my pain or wanted me to go thru it. So right when I was going to give up on life, hope came. I met a good doc by accident n she actually cared to listen to my symptoms and help me! After 2 visits and one blood test, she was able to make a diagnose me with PCOS n refer me to a specialist. This is because my DHEAS was mildly elevated and my LH/FSH ratio was out of balanced. This experience woke me up and made me stronger and more sympathetic. Now, I am afraid to even hurt an ant. I don't want to destroy anything that has LIFE. When your body is not intact, it feels like you've already died. I feel like I am beginning to wake up from a nightmare that lasted for 2-3 years. I am so relieved!

I have had considerate hair loss since going off the patch...I'm not yet going bald...it seems to grow back but I will eventually loose the length of my hair and have to cut due to the different lengths. My hair is much thinner now than it used to be.
