I took Macrobid only twice and spent two nights in the hospital. They took multiple ct scans of my lungs and ordered a lot of lab tests. Final diagnosis- Drug Induced (Macrobid) Lupus. But there seems to be permanent damage to my lungs and joints so we are still working on the prognosis. I am currently looking for a lawyer to take my case against Proctor and Gamble.

Have you found a lawyer? I have permanent lung damage from Macrobid and would also like to sue. I wish you the best of luck.

No not yet, we're still trying to find the final diagnosis. So far it may be interstitial lung disease. Now I'm being looked at for possible kidney damage. Once this is all cleared up, I can put a case together. Best of luck to you as well. |

Does anyone think that we might get enough people together for a class action suit?

That's a good idea! Really all I'm seeking are medical bill reimbursements. This Macrobid problem has cost me so much money, time, and frustration. It is also important to spread awareness of this dangerous drug! |
Me, too. If I could get reimbursed for expenses, I would be happy. Most of us will probably have recurring medical expenses for a long time. |
Great idea! I certainly support it, but, regardless of serious illness, do not have $ thousands to spare. VB |

This drug almost killed my mother. 5 separate times...5 separate pills. Every time she was released from hospital, they told her to resume this pill and would end up right back in hospital. Almost 2 months in hospital before I figured out it was the drug. First dose put her in ICU for 5 days. It angers me that no dr. is reporting this to FDA. Don't know if Mom will ever regain what she has lost due to this drug!
That's terrible! You can report what happened on the FDA website. If the Dr. won't do it, at least you can. |
