My husband has been on Nardil since the mid 60's. The last week of Nov., 2011, he switched to the generic brand. Within 2 weeks a change was taking place and he ended up in the hospital. While still on the generic brand, he went out of control and had to be strapped to the bed and put into diapers.I told the doctor about the change and he told me to go get some of the ones that he had been taking before the siitch to generic, I did and within 24 hours after being back on the old , some improvement began . He was finally discharged on December 18th after 5 days in the ICU . It was just this AM that he remarked, " I am glad that my head is feeling better." He remembers very little about Christmas! Many other drugs have been tried on him but NONE works.
