Wow, it really must affect people very differently. I have had great results with it. I recently was prescribed tramadol for chronic neck and shoulder pain from an accident. I was previously taking hydrocodone but it was not really helping with the pain. I take 1 or 2 of the 50ml tramadol and I have no pain for the first time in years. I had varying degrees of shooting pain going down my back every moment of every day- sometimes even feeling a severe stinging but now it is gone. It lasts for over 12 hours for me. I don't loopy or "high" on it and don't have that drowsy feeling I had with hydrocodone. I hope it continues to work for me and I don't develop any adverse reactions later.

i was taking ultram for a couple years, this med is worse han any opiate i hve ever been prescrbed. the withdrawl symptoms are horrible cramps, insomnia everything this person says and more. it may not be a narcotic but is way way more dangerous than one
