This is the only one I see from you. How do you wanna quit, fast or slow?
Im already on Day 3. I was looking to see if the worst parts were over. I used methadone the past 2 or 3 months to kick OC. I liked it. My last dose was Wednesday around 5. Severe vomiting came about around 5 on Thursday. Ive been bed-ridden with the sweats since...up until 8 hours ago. Constant vomiting has subsided as well. Been keeping down Gatorade and even a grilled cheese. Do u think its over? I wasnt using methadone very long, but have been an opiate addict for 8 years. Please let this be it.

There's always has been a problem with post sometimes not posting, just be sure you you copy your post before you send it, that way if it doesn't send, all you have to do is paste what you copied then send it again, Hope everyone is getting some sort of relief tonight, even if it's just for a little bit...

You're about there always having been a problem with posts showing. It's just reached critical mass in the last two months or so, though. As many as 10 consecutive posts won't appear to anyone but their own author now. In the past you would at least know, because you couldn't see your own post. Now you can see it, but no one else can.

Cheers, AB

2 to 3 months is pleanty of time to become habituated to M, but not everyone does that fast. I good clue that you are well habituated, though, is the vomiting. Probably the worst is still ahead of you. Did you taper it down at all, and what was your highest dose level?

I can only say what is typical, and that doesn't necessarily mean it will be your experience. Typical, is also somewhat dose dependent, so knowing that would be a little helpful.

Without knowing, a guess would be the worst is ahead, not behind. It's usual for the worst to last from 10 to 21 days, then only getting better slowly. Your relatively short use should work for you, but it's still methadone, so don't expect to feel 100% for quite awhile.

Keep up with water and Gatorade, they really help a lot. Diarrhea may become a big problem and Imodium (generic is fine) will control it.

If you do get clobbered with intense Wd, there isn't much from over the counter that will help during the most intense part. Blood pressure can be an issue and if you're seen for that, you may get something for the anxiety too.

You can try Passionflower and Valarian Root for the anxiety, and melatonin for sleep, but I'd be surprised if they give much relief at the early stage of Wd.

Good luck, I do hope the worst is behind you, I just don't expect it.

Now that you've regitered you can check your posts by signing out. You'll see what everyone else sees then. Sing in to post and sign out to check, but there's sometimes a delay between when you post and when it appears, so wait about 10 minutes before you check.

I was only using a max of 30 mgs daily. I tapered myself down to 5 mgs daily for the past 2 weeks, sometimes skipping a day. I havent used since Wednesday and feel relatively fine. I spent all of Thursday evening thru noon today vomiting constantly and sweating profusely, with my heart palpitating.

I shouldn't post after I've had my sleep aid.

You're RIGHT... is what that should have read.

Everyone is different, Mich, have you heard that before? Lol. Maybe you've heard it once.

I can only guess about how long, probably two to four weeks before you're ready to continue the taper, though.

You already had signs of Wd, so you're further into it than you thought. Going real slow is faster than having to stop and catch up, but your worst symptoms should be over in a few days. Once they are over, wait for the little symptoms to pass as well. The only things that won't pass is feeling tired and lathargic, and maybe some slight sneezing, along with feeling awful in the morning (that last one wears off once you're really up and moving about). Those won't be gone 'til well after you're done with the 'Done.

J 2020 might be done by now, I hope we here from her. Maybe she wrote and we can't see it. Damn this posting glitch!!!

Hope you begin feeling better as the day progresses, Mich.

You could have dodged this bullet, JWQ, I hope so. But like I said in the PM, it's too early to be sure. You wouldn't be the first I've seen that wasn't completely habituated in three months of use. It took me 27 years to reach complete habituation to heroin. That's a long time to deny an addiction that really started at age 8.

The only thing that's 100% predictable about M, or it's Wd, is that it's NOT 100% predictable!

Hoping for the best,

I wouldn't call it "dodging the bullet. " I was in complete hell Thursday thru Sunday. It was agonizing pain, no sleep, and non-stop puke fest...ruined my floor and probably my sheets. Fingers still crossed. I still have an M and a half at home...10.5 mg total...I think I need to flush those little white bastards.

Grazed by the bullet then. Average Wd length is 10 to 21 days, so if you are done with the worst, you got pretty lucky.
