Tons of released drugs taint US water

U.S. manufacturers, including major drugmakers, have legally released at least 271 million pounds of pharmaceuticals into waterways that often provide drinking water — contamination the federal government has consistently overlooked, according to an Associated Press investigation.

Maybe the drug companies will try charging Americans for drinking water from the tap? I drank a glass friday and wound up with lower blood pressure, lower cholesterol, and an erection. Hmmm.

This is an old story. The big question is why isn't it being fixed? Oh yeah, we are overtaxed and there's no money for AMERICA. We have to fix Iraq with the money we borrowed from China. Besides poison in our water is probably just as fake a global warming, according to the LIMPBALLS crowd.

The funny thing is that the "free market" bottled water industry in the US is completely unregulated and most of the companies sell rebottled city water that probably isn't tested for the drugs.
