Company Completely Halts Generic Lipitor Production After Recall

Indian generic drugmaker Ranbaxy Laboratories will stop manufacturing its version of Pfizer Inc's cholesterol fighter, Lipitor, while it gets to the bottom of the cause of a recent recall, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration said on its website.
No matter what the result of Ranbaxy's invesigation,it will lose 90% of its generic atorvastating business in the US. market which would have been $ 150 mm +in 2013.
