really!You think they need more inspections how many more people have to die when they trust the products they receive have gone through the proper inspections, this is ridiculous for our country so full of wealth to have this happen. I bet if it someone significant the government would be all over it.
But because its just a joe bloe it really is a shame but in all honestly nobody in Washington is losing any sleep over it.

FDA needs employees and money to do this work. We are asking them to do world wide police job with no back up. Kid of sounds like my desk, but this is very serious. Perhaps it will chaneg when it affects the Bush, Chaney, Kennedy, families. Bad hearts be careful. The rest of us are just clateral damage. I am looking at lables now. Did you all know that most of the drugs mad for ADD & ADHD kids is not made here. Thank god not in China !

When and what is it going to take for the gov. to wake up. I read an article a few months ago about the fact that they don't have the people to inspect all of the food crates that come into our ports. They have found cancer causeing dyes on prunes, bacteria that can kill us on other foods, and a host of other things. Mismarked shipments like "flour" only to find something else in the crate. When the shipment is turned back it just shows up in another one of our ports. The China thing just makes me very angry. China wants to blow us off the map and see us crumble but, yet we have rotten food, toys with lead based paints and God knows what else coming from China but, yet we keep doing business as usual with them. Now we find that our drugs arent safe and the gov. decides to open more plants in China. What part of all of this does the gov. not get or are they just turning a blind eye? I read about the antibiotics, mood stableizers and a host of other drugs in our water right here in Washington, D. C. They say there isn't enough to matter and my question is if there isn't enough to matter why are they there? I e-mailed the FDA and asked that question and I never got even an acknowledgement let alone an answer. Now, with all of the medication's that I take and can't do with out, I am afraid that my medication and the ones in the water could become sinergistic and take me out. Many drugs when coupled with others can become sinergistic, meaning that when taken together they cause adverse reactions like DEATH to start with. I now have Deer Park water delivered to my home and I wonder if that is safe now. Countries since 911 and the war starting are not exactly in love with America yet we just say come in, sit down and lets get blown up together. "Ground control to Major Tom." "Is anybody out there?" As much as I love America and would not live anywhere else we are really being let down, continuously, by our government. I had a bad experience with the drug Metformin which was made
by a pharmacy named Auro-Bindo which is in India. The medicine had a terrible odor to it. I took it twice and felt extremely ill and called the pharmancy for a replacement. I don't trust the FDA. There is no reason why drugs can't be made in the US
and congress needs to enforce this. If we are ordering meds from overseas why can't we order meds from Canada? The FDA needs to do their job and protect people not bargain for cheap
labor and prices.

It does not make any difference whether we have agents over there or not to inspect facilities. They will most probably be bribed anyway to look the other way. It is a terrible shame that we can not manufacture these drugs over here in our country or in Canada where we have such a high umemployment rate and companies going out of business. Stop outsourcing and do things right instead of paying off people. The drug companies and drug stores who are hiring immigrants from China and elsewhere ought to be horsewhipped risking people's lives like that. I find it extremely dangerous to people's lives. Maybe a Senator and/or Congressman or Congresswoman should experience what we go through before these pharmaceutical industries get whipped hard.

Please go back to the brand Toprol XL and you will see the difference. Also, please file a formal complaint to the FDA at the following web site address: https://www.accessdata.fda.gov/scripts/medwat... It only takes about 5 minutes and will let them know what's happening with these generics. Thousands of people can't be making this stuff up. Do an internet search on the subject (Toprol versus Generic Metoprolol Succinate ER) and you will be amazed at the number of people affected by this. Consumer Labs and People's Pharmacy had so many complaints that both companies made formal complaints to the FDA as well. You will find that in your search too.

My pharmacy/insurance switched me to the generic form of Toprol XL called Metoprolol Succinate ER manufactured by Sandoz, back in Dec 2007. I went from Doctor to Doctor for 3 months with some very scary symptoms.
-Flashing lights and Aura's like a migraine and light sensitivity
-Eyes ached
-Very blurry vision (went from 20/20 to 20/70)
-Loud ringing in ears (Tinnitus)
-Tingling and numbness in feet, arms and legs
-Food and pills getting stuck in my throat (now I have a hiatal hernia)
-Depression, mood swings, crying
-Memory/word recall was terrible, couldn't think straight
-PVC's 24/7 which made my Blood pressure 85/45
-Fatigue
-20 pound weight loss
-blood sugar was high
-red blood cell count was low

I never had any of these symptoms on the BRAND TOPROL XL, only with the GENERIC. Almost all of these symptoms went away within a month of switching back to "Brand" Toprol XL. I hope anyone out there (that this might be happening to) recognizes the symptoms. All generics are NOT THE SAME.

When are they going to admit this? It's very scary and uncalled for. This is unbelievable.
