I started taking 2.5mg of Lexapro one month ago for bad anxiety depression and OCD, and then 16 days ago my doctor told me to start taking 5mg. I felt better than I have in years up until yesterday morning when I woke up and had this weird gloomy feeling and had anxiety. Is it possible for the Lexpro to already stop working? Or do i need to go up to a higher dose? I'm nervous that when I up the dose it will only work for a while and then I will have to keep upping the dose. Has anyone had this happen? Please help!

i take 5mg. you take a low so i would so you are more prone to taking some hits when you have a bad day. you are going to have those every once in awhile on that dose. but if you can get away with taking 2.5 then that's great. i take 5mg and yes I do have bad days but on average 90% of my days are good. this drug is dose dependent and it's not a total shield from emotional bumps in the road. you have to get down sometimes. it's a safety valve. otherwise you will become a mental vegetable.

I've been taking 5mg's also for about 15 days now and the last couple of days I feel like I'm f'd up on drugs or something. I felt better than I have in a long time up until couple of days ago and I noticed that I've had a little anxiety the last couple of days too. Does this ever happen to you or anyone else?

I think Lexapro does strange things to people...I have never felt a single side effect from any drug ever, I was started on 20mg of Lexapro about a month ago and for a week or so my pupils were huge, I felt like I was holding my eyes wide open, and I felt like I was on cocaine...jittery and full of energy, then I got really agitated for a few days, like it wasn't working. Then last week I started feeling exhausted about halfway through the day...I didn't attribute it to Lexapro until it occurred to me today to look it up, but I have been feeling like I don't have the energy to get up and finish anything that I've started the past week or so. I think also from looking at this site that I was started on a high dosage of this stuff, that may be why my side effects were so noticeable.

Daily Horoscope for January 6

Cancer

You could struggle to display your feelings and emotions at the moment. Being so sensitive, the smallest things could hurt your feelings, but no one else is likely to realise since you retreat into your shell at these times. This will not be a conscious decision, and you'll feel frustrated at your inability to explain the hurt you suffer.
