Hypoglycaimia is the number 1 side effect of any insulin.
The second two "blood glucose increased" and Hyperglycaemia mean the same thing. This can be caused by several things, most commonly not injecting enough Lantus to reduce the glucose to normal levels, secondly error in the delivery method, thirdly other physical issues with the patient such an infection or stress.

Does Lantus insulin put a foul taste into your mouth or make you feel sick to your stomache?

It does to me. I take 50units a night and it always puts a insulin taste in my mouth for several minutes
