I was prescriped Lamisil by a Dematologist for a toe infection and the lost of my thumb due to an injury/infection. I lost my sense of smell and taste since taking lamisil feb/08. It is now September/08 and my sense of smell and taste has returned slightly but not the way I tasted and smelled before taking lamisil. I did not know that this was a side effect to Lamisil until August when I saw a neurologist regarding my lost of taste and smell. I also saw an ear/nose/ throat Dr. who confirmed that lamisil is likely the casue of my lost/diminished senses.

I used lamasil for about 2i/2 months, now experising hair loss. Does anyone know if the hair will grow back?

used lamasil for toenail funges for about two and one-half months. My hair thinned right out. I am worried. Does anyone know if hair will grow back?

Well, I do not feel anything YET with my hair.
Just I took a bottle of Ternabifine (it is the generic for Lamisil) and I had a blood test after 1 month. Everything was OK, so, I started the second bottle. But at the middle of it, I felt nausea, stomach upset, changes in my ball movements, and lack of air!!!! I was so scared that I stopped immediately. I have a nail fungus (or dermathophytoses) but I prefer to have this than to be dead! I hate all the side effects.
I read also that many people is cured rubbing vicvaporub in the nails every night and put on a socks. I am doing that. My doctor said that NO TOPIC MEDICINE can cure. But I am going to try this way.
I was feeling so bad last week that I thought I was going to die...
I prefer be WITHOUT toe nails....
