I think that just having a chronic disease would tend to put someone at a somewhat higher risk of being depressed.

So, what's your natural remedy for breast cancer or epileptic seizures?
breast cancer.. stay away from doctors.. re-evaluate your life.. see where there is stress points.. find a regular relaxation regiment.. we are living in stressful times.. epilepsy is different.. I've seen a few incidences.. brain disfuctions are harder.. because the momentary effect is scarry and violent.. I'd need to look at someone's life to understand.. I've been working on understanding how the imbalance of nature causes cancer.. I'm just not in the brain damage yet.. all I can say is stress.. not just our own. but the spiritual stress and the stress in nature itself causes these things so minimizing stress in our lives may not help nature but prolongs our survival.. teas, are an answer.. black tea.. nature will look into it..

(HEALING CURES)

Cures are not wanted. Healing naturaly is rejected by big pharma, most doctors and the medical mafia. I have found a proven all *natural *cure for for MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS that was discovered in 1940 in America and Canada. It's inexpensive and all *natural, so it has been ignored and rejectd.*They can't make their billion$ from peoples suffering! This also works for ALS. Google this and make up your own mind if it works, or not. Google: "Dr.F.R.Klenner's protocol for MS". Our bodies were created to heal. Never give up the good fight!

Today In Canada teas can not advertise their healing properties on the box. It’s illegal
There was a laws made in the United States last decade where stores that sold herbs could not promote their products as healing.
Mid wives are made illegal, today we are literally forced to go to a doctor, Usually to a man who will never ever know first hand what it means to have a baby. Denying women, their nature, their knowledge, the right over their own body. Pregnancy is not an illness it’s a natural occurrence of life. Here the church is pushing man as head over woman. Controlling children from birth.
What have these experts in medicine have accepted in the place of herbal remedies..
Kimo Therapy. In reality this is a nice word for Nuclear Waste
cyanide.. A highly deadly poison
nitroglycerine. A highly unstable liquid, used to blow up Mountains in the days when they built the first train tracks, That’s what they propose to give you if you have symptoms of heart failure.
side effects of medication is a symptom of the damage being done by the medication.. giving new medication to cover up symptoms just cause more symptoms.. that's why people today are on more pills than ever before..
With nature on the mend. relaxation, taking it easy is a better form of healing..
The point here is that it's already begun and Nature can't hold off for ever. I need help to make this known before it hits. I'm willing to talk to anyone who wants to understand and has a voice to make this public. All the medications doctors are using these days are killers.

"On the word of Doctors, governments have made laws against the use of herbal remedies. Remedies that have evolved over time with the natural earth."

It is true natural remedies work but the potency and age of products claiming to be a food source; FDA is not tight enough to control them.

"That’s what they propose to give you if you have symptoms of heart failure"

I have a question; Why do you say they propose. Do you acknowledge that it is already a practice.

Seizure drugs were the fifth best-selling class of drugs in the U.S. last year, with sales over $10 billion, according to pharmaceutical research firm IMS Health.

10 billion in sales made off of anti-seizure medication. What the pharmaceutical companies should be required to do is to disclose all of the side effects of medication and especially how difficult it might be to withdraw off many of these medications that are prescribed for seizures. That is what I found to be the worst side effect of all of the medications I have been prescribed over the years. Ater years of going to the doctor and her first question has always been "do you feel suicidal"? I asked her why she always asked me this? She said it was because all of the medication I was on. I asked her to explain that and she told me to ask my pharmacist for a printout of the possible side effects of my medicine because she did not have time to sit down with me to explain them!

Dark Night of the Soul
Faith, Family and Friends are the key elements that have kept me going in the last year as I have struggled with adjustments to medications. I appreciate your concern and I know you are right. Without Faith there is nothing out there!

I take 3 different anti-seizure drugs for epilepsy and have for 4 years now. I have found that a healthy diet and being good to my body by working out maintains energy and makes me function with a better and happier over all attitude. There aren’t many in the Health Care Provider World that ever talk about keeping a good overall balanced health so everything works well together. What I mean is so suicide and things like that don’t become part of a person’s life. Can you see what I mean? There is a relation with overall good health and down depressed feelings and I never felt that before I entered this chapter of my life before and now I understand this. That is why I have written in on this issue with a qualified experience to this board now. I am 50 years old and 8 years ago I had a virus harm my brain and the result was the seizures I must live with today. I write information systems for large organizations here in the OC and have traveled the world enjoying doing so in my life time. Thank you for your site.

my mother was on nytroglycerine..for 10 yrs..

We are adults not children.. if I want to go to a quack because he helps me.. it's my right.. the governments have no right to say to me what I should do or not do.. life is buyer beware.. life is ours.. you own your life I own my life..along the way we gain experience.. as long as we have someone telling us what to do what to trust.. fda..and governments and religions are saying let me do the thinking for you,. As long as we let someone else do the thinking for us.. we loose we get lazy.. then we say ok.. then we get caught with religion and leaders like george w bush..

Life is a series of choices plans and opportunities.. and as long as we give someone our rights to these we will lose the battle for freedom.

Brilliant and truthful Jackie! Thank you for being a voice of reason on this forum where so many are on antidepressants and other killer drugs.
I refuse to call them "medications" any longer.
So many on these drugs come here desperate and suicidal and we never hear from them again. Perhaps all they needed was to get off the drugs they were on so their bodies and minds could heal naturally.
Again, I commend you for your informative and truthful post. I hope you will stick around. There is a need to explain to folks that help just doesn't come in pill form.
Never quit a drug you have been prescribed without your doctor being advised before hand. People have died because they suddenly stopped taking heart medicine, anti-biotic for natural remedies; It's better to never start prescription. If you want to be cured with natural remedies, you need to start looking for special doctors or at least try to get a willing doctor to track your progress. sorry to nag

I take two of these medications, Topamax and Lamictil, for psychiatric purposes. What I am curious about is that I already had suicidal ideation, so how do they know if when I have continued or increased suicidal ideation if it's just because of me or due to the medications? Does anybody else out there take any of these meds for psychiatric purposes and what's your doctors take on the suicidal risks?

you don't say what your psychicatric condition is.. I personally never met a shrink that didn't need one more than the patient.. how ever when it comes to suicidal feelings.. talking about them in a safe place.. meaning with people who will not judge you..threaten to lock you up or increase the stress.. putting them out in the open releases them.. suicidal tendencies are a build up of emotion.. looking to explode.. talking about it minimizes their effect on our minds and bodies.. the problem with doctors is they don't respect someone talking about the way they feel just to let it go.. they see red flags everywhere.. because they don't understand..

What you're saying is very true about the majority of the mental health field. The patients that are DEEPLY involved generally have negative thoughts about the care that they receive. I finally got lucky after over 20 years of pure waste and found a decent psychiatrist who does what you were talking about in your post. He LISTENS when I talk about suicide and doesn't freak out and toss me in the the hospital at the first word of it. What a freaking concept...a psychiatrist that listens!!! They're definitely few and far between though. The mental health field needs a whole revamping, big time.

makes me sick how a serious condition like a seizure disorder comes down to someone like Vince1974 making that kind of comment. The medication alone for this disorder causes a disability--not to mention the disorder itself. It strips you of a lot of dignity and self respect--and as to personal choice as mentioned above---when you can only qualify for group coverage under a HMO because you have this disability that follows you. What rights to treatment do you have? Your stuck with one and ONLY one medical provider!

Daily Horoscope for January 7

Leo

You'll be action-oriented today, Leo. If truth be told, intense physical activity has the ability to soothe you much more than frenzied mental exercise. Invitations to madness are the wrong thing for you, but they are tempting nonetheless. Dig in your heels and do what you know you have to do. When driving this evening, take extra care.
