keppra cost is awful

Our son has to take it for seizures. He has no insurance so we have to pay for it. Someone needs
to investigate the pricing of this medicine.
It is made by UCB laboratories.

Hi Rhonda,

Not sure if this will help any but UCB makes the branded drug for levetiracetam. I've just switched to the generic form, which is much cheaper. But, it doesn't seem to be working as well as the branded Keppra did.

My name is Matt, I also take Keppra on a daily basis to control seizures, and I pay well over $400.00/month without insurance I do hope that someone will do something about the price soon because UCB. the manufacturer is making a killing off this medication; I hope that your son is doing well and is seizure free.

it is so much cheaper in Canada you guys. you don't have to get ripped off here in the US at your local pharmacy.
