I want more info like this

My niece has science homework. She has to name, can't remember what they're called. For ex. H20 is water...my question is what are other names for say copper, iron, magnesium, sulphate, etc.? Can you help us or direct us in the right path? My mind is drawing a blank.

========== Do you mean the symbols for these elements? Copper is CU (latin is Cupperous), Iron is FE (latin is Ferrous), Magnesium is MG, "Sulphate" is not an element, but part of a compound name. Of course, a simple search on the Internet would have told you all this. |

You might want to check the Periodic Tables which gives you the Element and its chemical symbol. |
