I find many articals about Flomax and retrograde ejaculation, but I'm not finding much info about it causing loss of orgasm!
I have read a number of complaints about this from men, and I have experienced this problem.

My doctor told me there is another medication that does not cause these side-effect. You may ask your doctor about it, and maybe change to that!

My doctor prescribed Flomax due to an enlarged prostate.
I've taken the medication for 3 days, and am wondering when I should start to realize results, i.e. less frequency of urination.

I've been on the FM for a week now, some alleviation of symtoms. But how long should it take for total relief.
Any comments?

I have Limb Girdle MD and find it causes extreme weekness after taking. When I stop,within 24 hours it wears off. I have only been taking Flomax for less than l year and then only take it approx. 1 or 2 times a week. As of Aug. 10th. I have not taken and notice strength returning to same as before taking Flomax.

In short, retrograde ejaculation just means that you loose some of the ejaculate into the bladder so you have less come out. Unless you are trying to get your gal pregnant or you need to see a lot come out, it should not matter. Regarding the sexual drive or labedo, studies show that Flomax has not effect on it. It is the same as Uroxatral.

I have been taken Flomax for more than a year. I use to have retro ejaculation but now no more ejac. or orgasm. However it dos not have any effect on erection. Sure makes your partner HAPPY.

I have been taking flomax for 10 years with a short time of feeling well enough to go off it for almost two years.. I was 100% back to normal at that time.. But for now I need to take thins stuff.. I have now a very low sex drive with little ejaculation. I have joint pain with back pain and am not sure if this if the Flomax. I can;t regain my muscle mass no matter how much I exercise I as 50 years young.. With out flomax it feel like I'm peeing through a strew and 5 to 10 Min's later I'm in pain like i pissed glass but am fine while I'm going. If i try and stop the stuff I feel more flareup and it's harder to pee. I also have been taking 160mg of Saw Palmetto once a day and I have been taking it for about 6 years or so.. I don't know if it helps but don't think it hurts.. I see the urologist every 6 months on the bad months and once a year on the good.. I need to try something else my doctor will not give me any other drugs he said I'm on the least egresses of then drugs as they only work on a small part and will not effect penis size or Brest size.. I want to get off the stuff to get back my sex life, what do i do? I tried taking every other day but I still have issues with out relief

I have read that "During clinical trials that studied Flomax sexual side effects, inability to ejaculate was included in the problem description"

After only one dose, when having sex the next day i was reaching an orgasm, i started to feel that point of no return and it just stopped dead in its tracks and there was no ejaculation.i am one it now for week and i tested it again by masturbating and the same thing keeps happeneing.its so scary and frustrating.

I've had an enlarged prostate for close to 10 years and tried herbal supplements with very little success. It wasn't until it got to the point that I needed to pee almost once an hour that my urologist prescribed Flomax. It helped me within 48 hours. However, I do have the retrograde ejaculation and nasal congestion side effects. Recently I have developed a dry hacking cough that occurs about 2 to 3 hours after taking Flomax. Has anyone had a similar experience?

I don't know which is worse, the constant need to go to the bathroom or the side effects.

The same thing happened to me - I've taken it 4 times (for a possible treatment for prostatitis, which seemed to help), and the first time I masturbated, I had no ejaculate. I feel as you do about it.

I'm 46. Was diagnosed enlarged prostrate- was peeing about 35 times per day. Doctor put me on 28 days of Cipro, and a short time later FLOMAX. Have been taking it (Flomax) for 2 weeks It does help, however, I find I have less strength in the weight room/ running. Also some lower back pain and generally a little tired. First time I ejaculated it was almost dry; however, this has improved over the past two weeks- though still not quite normal.

My wife and I enjoy wine; however, since starting this I have been avoiding alcohol. Is there a problem taking Flomax and drinking on the weekend (say 4-5 glasses on wine)? Also has anybody had any libdo problems (long term with this), and finally, if you have been takig it long term, have you been able to avoid surgery?

I have been on Flomax for about 5 years, am 57. I've found that timing is important. If I'm within 12 hours of dosage, no ejaculate whatsoever. Closer to next dosage, some comes, but varies. Have found that male herbal supplements can help. Nature's Bounty Power V a couple of hours before sex gives a little, but perceptible boost. Do not agree that orgasm is same without semen: it's like trying not to cough at the symphony. Ross, I have wine about 4x a week and the effects seem minimal. Other posters' side effects I have had only in very minor ways--it's definitely worth the trade-off. If I could spurt I'd be very happy with FM.

I changed to Proscar and cut I them into thirds much better,,
