What is "cyclic" hormone combinations? I've not heard of this. Since my insurance drug program has almost doubled the cost of my prescriptions, I'm investigating all possibilities for hormone replacement. I used to be on hormone cream & had to switch due to change in Mail Order Pharmacy. I'm currently on Estratest, which I don't like as well, and my cost will almost double.

Hi Lucette
Usually four weeks of estrogen with progestin added for the last 10-13 days. I hope this helps. |

Estrogen with progesterone added into the cycle for women with a uterus. Estrogen alone may cause endoplasia of the the uterine lining --a risk for a uterine cancer. The opposing progesterone keeps the lining from building up.
