Diovan and weight gain

I have searched online information about weight gain on diovan and I seem to find it burried in the side effects list, sometimes not there at all. I have been on Weight Watchers and I was losing steadily until the Dr doubled my Diovan dose. Since then, for over a month, I have experienced a 6 lb weight gain one week and in several weeks have only lost 2 pounds. I don't think my Dr is going to want to listen to me. Is there any information out there on weight gain and Diovan?

Yes is will make you gain and I am living proof of that because I have never had any problem with weight until I started taking Diovan. I have been on it for nearly two years and the has increased it three times and now I am taking 320 mg and also the weight gain problem I have started losing my hair. I am going to the Doctor tomorrow and tell him to give me something else. Doctors don't seem to listen to you when you have a problem, but they sure don't mind taking your money.

My Dr just gave me a script for Diovan today. I was on Diltiazem XR conbined w/Nadolol for 5 yrs. I gained over 40lbs. I was hoping Diovan would have the opposit effect.
