I just started taking Diovan after several failed medications. I was on Cozaar and suffered from very bad leg cramps. What medication caused your leg cramps?
I have ben on exforge for several months and after about 2 weeks developed the same symptoms as you describe. Other blood pressure meds have done same, but the exforge has made it much worse. I am getting off and trying a diuretic or something else.

I have been on 80 mg Diovan for about two years. I have gained about 40 pounds. I have had pain in my calves which would begin all of a sudden, and travel up to my knee. Then my knee would pop! This would always happen when sitting. I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced weight gain, leg cramps, and also swelling of the ankles and lower legs. My hands and fingers also swell some, and I have tingling in my hands. Any one else with similar problems with this?
I havwe been on 80 mg od Diovan about 2 months. went to an ARB becasue of the hacking cough I have with the ace - Altace. I have gained over 15 lbs in about 6 weeks. My bacj aches/ cramps (probably due to the weight gain) I have increased intolerance to exercise, i have developed hemorrhoids, etc. don't know but I am thinking the diovan is bad to me

I have been on diovan 1 month w/metoprolol. Have been experiencing tingling in left arm, left lower face and whole chin. Woke up with arm like a dead salami - 100% numb. Had some tingling before diovan, but much more often now. I have many reactions to meds so this makes sense.

Exforge is giving me cramps in my feet - I can SEE my three smallest toes pull to the outside and stay there, and it hurts. Also sometimes I get shin splints that wake me up. Nothing helps but to walk and even then it comes right back.

I have been taking Non Diuretic Diovan 160 as I have Gout and Diuretic Diovan 160 would trigger an attack. I stopped taking it after I started getting leg pains and felt all around lousy after 2 years of taking it. I have tried loosing weight by changing my diet and doing some exercise to lower my BP.

I am very interested in Valsartan/Diovan and leg cramps. I am a marathon runner that went on Diovan last year, and I have had persistent problems with cramping in the calves, weird cramping sensations, apparent cramp/muscle pulls, etc., for MONTHS. Never had this before. Finally occurred to me that it might be related. Went on Diovan last November, problem started in May, can't seem to get clear of it. Any thoughts? I lost the whole summer, and I feel like I can't run much anymore, which is quite depressing for me.

I have been on Diovan 80mg for several years. I have had cramps but have had a problem with that since youth so never associated the two. I do have a problem with weight and can not seem to get it off. Also, never thought about Diovan. I did ask my doctor to switch me because my insurance pays much better on generics and there is not one for it. I immediately started swelling. Got really bad and fluid pill added did not help. Had to go back on it. If anyone knows of one that is similar , let me know

Daily Horoscope for November 26

Gemini

Your eleventh house of friends and associates is activated by the Moon in Aries and it's time to go out and play with your friends. Even the Twins, who have been somewhat reclusive lately, will benefit from socializing tonight. A sense of relief will take hold when you realize that no one really has a better life than you. Sure, it might seem like someone else has a more glamorous existence, but if you could be a fly on the wall in their bedroom, you'd find they have nightmares, too!
