How good is this drug for controlling blood pressure if you would take 30mg. 3 x a day? how much would it bring you pressures down on this amount of dosage? thanks

I had a life threatening response to Tiazac 420mg after being on the medication for a couple of years. i was also taking Indera 10mg.(a Beta-Blocker) for migrain headaches when needed. On Sunday, Jan. 18,2009,I took my daily Tiazac and about 1 hour later took an Inderal. I was fine until about 3 hours later I started feeling, dizzy, weak, clammy. My husband rushed me to the Emergency Dept. I lost consciouseness as soon as I got there. My pulse was 20. Luckily i was where I was when I passed out. The E.D. MD was able to keep me from flat-lining until the cardiologist on-call came in. He inserted a temporary pace-maker and I was transferred to ICU, whre i stayed for 3 more days with a diagnosis of "cardiogenic shock".The cardiologist attributed this to the dose of Tiazac for a person my size(5'0",118 lbs.)and taking the Beta-Blocker which i had done many times before without incident.Tiazac also caused my liver enzymes to be elevated and tiazac is metabolized by the liver. What happened was my body was not completely clearing the Tiazac before i took my next dose and it accummulated. Liver enzymes should be monitored on a reg. basis with any drug that is metabolized in this organ.
