I have recently been takin the diclofenac drug to try and cure the pains in my back, and I have come across a question. Can you drink alcohol whilst takin this drug? I had alcohol a couple of days since and the next day I woke up really tired and drowsy is this normal?

That is the two main bad effects. Heart attack and holes in your stomach. If the pain continues I would see a physician immediatly

I have taken the drug for several years now and I know of no side affects. I do know if I don't take it my arthritis ruins my day and I cannot function.

Anyone wanting to contact me about diclophenic just email me and put diclophenic in the subject line.

If you had read the pamphlet that came with your medication, you would see that they 'advise against' drinking while on this medication.
And as for the chest/abdomen pain - seek out a MD - not a website for answers.
I am new to the med, but it's already made a change in my pain levels, and I am pleasantly surprised. Unlike some people, I realize and know, that any drugs/meds come with potential side effects as well as life threatening ones. Humans need to be watchful of anything that they put into their body, because something may not affect me at all - but it could kill you and vice versa.
Just be an aware person - drugs are not exact and they work differently for everyone. It's up to you to determine what is not good for you.
