Did your doc warn you that you can start (without any symptoms) to bleed out? I did, and on my first cruise. Lots of black, tarry stool - lost conciousness - in ship hospital and missed most of the trip. That was 12-8-07. On Jan 6th, 2008 a second event of bleed. Lost half of my blood on that one, took 5 units, four days in hospital. Surgeon did a scope - found 5 large, angry, deep ulcers caused by Meloxicam. Missed a week of work, now going to have another scope on Feb 27th, 2008 - which could turn into a trip to OR if Surgeon hits an artery. The ulcers are so large and so deep that is a distinct possibility. So I would caution that raising your blood pressure is the least of the concerns you may face. Sincerely suggest you research this horrible drug as it could kill you.

Your case is not uncommon. My dad had a similar reaction. We found this site that helped us in our research:

My Dr put me on diclofenac for arthritis. It worked great BUT my liver panel ALT went from normal 10-50 to 576 within 40 days. Im off it now but it may have wrecked my liver. That number has gone down to about 100... so be very careful and make sure they watch your liver panel by blood test.

I recently was prescribed Voltaren for my knees. After reading the information& learning the possible side effects; I have an apprehension to use. I have only used 2 times only 4 grams each time.

After reading your comments, I think I will discontinue-my liver is important to me.
