Meeting set on Depakote label

Advisory panels to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration will meet July 10 to discuss whether new warnings need to be issued for a popular class of epilepsy drugs that includes Abbott Laboratories ' Depakote.

My 18 year old daughter was taken off Depokate in February and 10 days later commited suicide. She was on the depakote for depression and suicidal tendancies and was given nothing to replace it after coming off it due to sickness and stomache cramps. I feel my daughter was let down terrible by the psychiatrist concerned and should have been monitored more carefully, I wasnt even told how bad the withdrawal could be or to keep a close watch on her.
