half a tablet (100mg) vs a whole tablet (50mg)

Hi, a couple of my friends and I who take cozaar are comparing notes which our respective doctors tell us and the info seem to be conflicting. If I'm supposed to take a 50mg dosage, is there any difference in the effectiveness of the drug if I take a 50mg tablet whole compared to taking half of the 100mg tablet ?

No you could do that and actually save money because you are breaking you tablet down to last twice as long

I was taken cozar losartan potassium 50mg once a day for the last 4 years the dr in greece says I have vertigo and my blood pressure has been hight I have had blood tests and x-ray and all is clearso the Dr has put me on 1 100mg pressdown losartan in the morning can I take 2- 50mg as I have 3 mths supply with me. and he has prscribe as well 1 adalat cr 30 nifedipeen in the evening I would be gratefull for a reply yours Denise

I just took my first ever tablet of Cozaar / Losartan Potassium 50mg. I have health insurance, thankfully and paid $70 for a 90 day supply. Can anyone tell me what I'm supposed to feel like when this is working for me. Right now I have a bit of a headache that has been around for months. I have high cholestrol as well- will this help that problem? I'm a type 2 diabetic and have taken metformin for a year now.. I was told I have hypothyroidism as well and I take Synthroid for that.. I gave up smoking 3 years ago after my husband was killed- all this has come about since then!

Taking Cozaart of 50 mg, daily, for the last two weeks, and I feel great. at first had to take 25 mg, for two weeks, was not working too well, blood pressure was up until my doctor told me to increase it. My doctor's nurse told me that I am doing good, and that my choloestrol was way under 200, which is good. She told me that my choloestrol went down so fast 100 points with-thin a month! how did I do it? I told her, I been walking every day 5 days a week, about 30 to 45 minutes of brisk walking and I take one vitamin supplment of OMEGA "3"S of fish oil 1,00 mg. daily, That is all. well guys try that, It worked for me, and I got good results. And for sleep, I was not sleeping well at all, always awake for hours! Well I take one vitamin supplement of Valarian root of 530, and one vitamins of Calicum, Maganesiam, Zinc, two to three times a day, which is good for calming the nerves. I practically feel normal again. You can get that at your local store, Ralphs, or Rite aid,. Good luck! and I hope it works for you!
