I am hoping there are some patients out there who are on Cozaar and could help me with side effects issues. I take 50mgs. per day and would like to know if anyone has experienced leg cramps, sore knees and occasional wheezing.

Hi Barbara, I've been on cozaar for a couple of years (do not remember exactly). I do feel sore knees and sore joints, but I am 40 now, so it could be from other reasons. Other than that, the medicine seems OK.

my daughter (13 years old) was prescribed coozar 25mg by a cardiologist for a hypertension that they could not identify the cause. What i want to know is that, is there anybody out there that knows if its safe for children. My daughter is on the taller side but she is still considered a pediatric patient and what i found on my search says that safety and efficacy of this drug in children has not been studied. I want to make sure its safe before i give it to her.

Sheila,
My daughter is also 13 and she has an aortic insufficiency with regergitation. She has been taking Lisinopril but has had some side effects involving a dry tickling cough and sore throuat so now her cardiologist would like to switch her to this cozaar @ 25 mg's. Did you ever start her on this drug and if so how has it been going? I am very apprehensive about switching to a drug not tested on children also. Thanks- Debbie

I'm 75 years old and have been taking Cozaar for
17 months. The Cozaar shrunk my aneurysm of the ascending aorta by 8%, from 4.9 cm. to 4.5 cm. I have knee pain relieved by tylenol, naprosyn or
biofreeze. Leg cramps are prevented by quinine water. Given the choice of open heart surgery or a
little knee pain, I'll opt for the Cozaar.

Daily Horoscope for November 16

Capricorn

New friends and faces can result from today's New Moon, so be open to the social possibilities it brings. You may be feeling pressure to keep up with the Joneses - perhaps your new circle of friends could be making you long for things you can't have at this time. If you're married with children, avoid hanging out with singles.Similarly, those who are single and long for the married life should think twice before joining an all-couples party.
