I have A-Fib that started March 2008. Went to the hospital a couple of times and left work freguently. Doctor put me on Cardia then Flecinide(spelling ?)Flecinode didn't help so cardiologist suggested Pacerone. Told me some scary sidde effects and I said "no" I didn't want to take this. To which he said an ablation was the other option so we scheduled this for Jan. 2009. I have A-Fib on the left side of my heart and a flutter on the right side which the doctor said maybe causing the A-Fib and I may have had all my life. Went to hospital for ablation and overnight stay. Thewy got the left side done and when moving to right side my heart was punctured, blood pressure plummeted, pericardia started filling up and I was in hospital for 5 days. When I woke up my doctor had put me on Pacerone and I'm still on it. I have noticed double vision sometimes in the mornings and a puffy look to my face all of a sudden that started about 3 wks. ago. I also gained 6 pounds that week. My husband says my color is not good. I look sick. Also, I seem to be extremely short of breath. I was a smoker till about 3 wks ago and have mild emphsema and asthma. The shortness of breath also got bad suddenly.Could this be Pacerone? Also, what other options are there for my A-Fib?

kay, i read your posting and i am very concerned that you are on amiodarone./pacerone. before you take another dose make sure your doctor tells you about the toxic effects called amiodarone toxicity. you can look it up on your computer. i just lost my husband on march 26 after a horrible ten weeks in hospitals. we never heard of amiodarone toxcity until he couldn't breathe after walking into a hospital to check out a cold. if he was given lung functioning tests to monitor his lungs he might have been a candidate for a heart transplant if he showed bad effects to this drug.i wish you well but if you are feeling bad effects already ask your doctor for an alternative drug. bless you

Daily Horoscope for December 19

Pisces

Are you feeling fraught? It certainly seems that way, perhaps because you've got far too much on your plate and not nearly enough time to tackle it all. Do yourself a big favor and start with whatever is most urgent, otherwise you'll waste time by dithering or getting caught up in trivial tasks. Above all, don't get into a panic because that will squander valuable time and energy.
