Apparently it takes awhile for some of the most severe adverse reactions of Cipro to manifest, particularly in it's destruction of the immune system. In my research on auto-immune diseases I have found that it is recognized that many of the auto-immune diseases follow viral infections but no connection seems to have been made to the drugs used to treat the viral infections. How long do you suppose it will take for these brilliant medical professionals to catch up with these facts?

I was in the building in Florida that got hit with Anthrax - many years ago. Funny, it still seems like yesterday! Any way - I was put on 1500mg of Cipro a day. At that time I was a healthy 43 year old woman. I worked out 5 days a week, I raced sail boats and I ran twice a week. Now, with years passed, I still have problems with my tendons in my ankles, shoulders, hands and elbows. My lower back hurts and I was diagnosed with Drug Induced Systemic Lupus (which has now left my body). The damage is done - I try to get back into a regular exercise routine and am unable because the tendons start to give me trouble - I wish I knew where to go from here.
I am not the only person from my situation to still have problems. My husband worked in the same building, took the Cipro and now has malabsorbtion sysndrome. He no longer has any good flora in his intestines. My office mates are still having problems as well.
We were brought up that the drug companies had our best interest and health at heart - I will never believe in a drug unless I do the research first!

Daily Horoscope for November 26

Capricorn

The Moon enters your fourth house of home and family today, urging you to spend more time with your loved ones. There may be trouble brewing at home, so head it off at the pass before tomorrow, when conditions are right for a blowout. Take the time to really listen to what the people you live with are saying. If you live by yourself, you might want to water your plants and talk to them for a while; they miss you.
