I started taking 20 mg citalopram 2 days ago (so I've swallowed 2 pills) and to day I felt better than I've felt for 2 months. At one point during the day I felt kinda lightheaded and I tend to laugh at things that aren't really funny but nothing bad or awkward. I mean it was still very hard for me to get up this morning and I've felt some sadness and numbness, but I can talk normally, for the past months I've had a hard time putting words together, and I've felt some joy and other feelings except for numbness or irritation which are pretty much the only feelings I felt before.
So is this some placebo effect or something like that because my doctor said that I most likely wouldn't start feeling better until two week after I started taking them and I might even feel worse during those two weeks. This just seems to good to be true, has anyone experienced difference so early and can I expect to go back down into the cave of depression ? btw Sorry about my poor english. |
