I have just started using Caverject Impulse. It seems to work very well in terms of acheiving and maintaining my erection. The delivery sytem however is cumbersome. A fair amount of force is needed to get the plunger all the way down for a full dose. I am a Helathcare professional and experienced with syringes and injections....it seems that a regular syringe would be much easier than the injection system I am supplied with.

I have been using caverject 40 for the past year with excellent results. With the 40's you have to inject the solution into the powder. When I order my supplies I request the insulin syringes which has a very thin needle and makes it very easy to inject with minimal pain.

I am from Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. It is near India. I am suffering from erectile dysfunction for the last several years. I have heard about caverject. But I am afraid about the side effects of using caverject. Please help me in this regard.
I have heard that by using caverject I can do sex for hours maintaining hard erection. Is it true? Can I satisfy my partner by using this drug? What about the cost?

If you use proper measurement of solution, erection for 1 hour should not have any side effects. This is the time suggested by instructions. First application my be done in doctors office to determine proper strength for you. It is not cheap. Your medical insurance may pay for it.

Helo Paul,
Thank you for your answer. I am from Bangladesh, it is near India. In my country no Medical insurance is available. So please inform me It (caverject) would take how much costs to use a single dose in dollar? can I use it every day ? Is there any side effects after 1 hour erection? if yes then what should I do?

I feel that these questions should be presented to your physician, and your pharmisist can give you a price for a single injection

I had to give myself shots 1-2 times a week for quite awhile and i agree that the initial push on the plunger can be difficult, especially given that you've got the needle stuck in a sensitive area of yours and your mind is on something else ... Still, it works great. We can have sex sometimes for hours and then again several times later. I sometimes apply an elastic band to the base of my penis and scrotum just after the injection to keep in as much as possible. Anyway, the sex is great, but I do get a bit of penile pain, especially after having sex several times, but it's worth it!

Hi guys, I have just been prescribed Caverject and have only self-injected it once before. I didn't find it painful at all, it was just the thought that terrified me! I don't suppose anyone would relish inserting a needle into their penis, but as other people here have said, the results are truly worth it. I didn't suffer any pain from the errection, although I did find that my hardness developed from right under and behind my scrotum, up the shaft of my penis and I remained hard for nearly 2 hours. Considering I hadn't had an errection for nearly 8 years, that was amazing. If anyone wants to chat, please email me martinips@ntlworld.com

Hi. Great to find you. I have been struggling trying to insert the caverject needle into my penis. I am a diabetic and inject myself with insulin thrice daily but the caverject injection is really painful. Last night I managed to use an insulin syringe which was much easier. I need help on two fronts. I have been prescribed a dose of '10' of Caverject 20 and need to know how many ml this would convert to. Secondly what is the needle length you use? I used a very small needle which inserted into the penis but suspect did not get into the correct muscle since I had no erection. Could I request if you could also mail to me at rbrt_lever@yahoo.com?

I use an insulin syringe that holds 1 ml of caverject.
You must be using 1/10 of a ml for your dosage. I use a 1/2 inch needle fully inserted. I am currently using Caverject 40 and am injecting 75% to maintain an erection for 1 hour. I started with the 20's several years ago but have needed the 40's for the past year. My first injection at the doctors off was 20% of 1 ml and I increased my dosage each time till I reached a 1 hr. erection. With the caverject 40's you have to mix 1 ml of sterile water with the caverject 40 powder. I hope this info has helped you.I suggest you confer with your physician if you have further concerns. Paul

My insurance will not pay for Caverject. I think it is a wonderful drug but find it difficult to justify the cost for just one or maybe two episodes of sex with my partner. Any suggestions on how to buy this drug cheaply?

Try the Costco near you as they typically have the lowest cost. Other than that you may need to talk to your doc about the medical necessity of using it. The insurance companies don't like paying for ed meds.

They say that with Caverject the erection shouldn't last longer than an hour. Does the erection remain totally erect for the hour or does it start to lose its stiffness before the hour is up?

I've used Impulse for many years with good results. My only complaint is also about the delivery system which unless you use a full dose is very wasteful and of course costly. What I do is to mix the solution in the supplied syringe, insert the supplied needle to relieve the internal pressure, remove it and use a diabetic syringe to draw what I need from the bottom of the internal phial which is easy. You can then use all of the mixed solution as required. I keep mine refrigerated and find it works well for quite a few weeks, if you keep it too long the only problem is that the strength fades and you need more to be effective.

as the needle is less then the 23fr, and its microneedle, the flow velocity is low and hence would go slowly, and you have to presure harder and harder, moreover the muscle dont have free flow of fluid, so the fluid you have injected would also not allow the addition of other fluid making the injection harder

Daily Horoscope for December 22

It will be easy to let things get on top of you today, especially if you're already feeling rather tired and listless. Do yourself a favor and keep away from anyone who often makes you feel a bit fed up or defensive, because they're the last person you want to be around at the moment. They'll make your spirits sink down to your ankles in a flash, and who needs that?
