Keep notes of when you are experiencing these side effects. What triggers them?(fatigue, period, stress, change is drug dosage) Bottom line: if your doctor(s) don't believe you, dump them and get a better doctor. |

I take 1000mg in the morning and 1000mg at night. I seem to get memory loss and blurred vision I did use to take 1200mg morning and 1200mg at night. I still have seizure (1-2 or sometimes 8-12) throughout the day every 3-4 days. I went to see another doctor and they told me the daily allowance is 1200mg and I’m taking 2000mg. I am at university and sometime find it hard to concentrate or have a lecturer one day and completely forget it the following day. I’m not too sure what to do from here.

I take one 200 mg at night and feel pretty
good during the day....wake up really sleepy. i was taking prozac and stopped and it was making me feel tired , memory loss and concentration. with the tegretol 200 mg at night I do not notice too much side effects.......maybe a little memory problem but I had that before now.......wondering how I would feel if I stoped althougether, they said I should not stop as I am bi-polar......but I am not bi-polar today..( or no episodes)...it only happens with major drama in my life....... doc says less likely if I stay on the drug......I could not imagine taking 1200 mg a day.........wow I would be a zombee for sure!! |

Sometimes I feel like a zombee. In the morning my eyes go a little crockeyed so I have to close them for several minuets to fix the problem. I use to take prozac but I found these tablets helped with that (making me feel like a zombee).
When I was on 600mg in the morning and 600mg at night I used to have the shaky fits so had to up a little more. But I am changing my medication to zonisamide. I was going to go on trial and try some new other tablets but my doctor said for me to try these first. I would like to have a talk to people about this medication and epilepsy because I dont know anybody else who suffers from this. If you like to talk by email, my email is noddle3636@hotmail.com Thanks |
