Hi, I'm new to Buspap, which I'm hoping will reduce my anxiety. I've had some heart problems and the palpitations are driving me nuts and making me even more anxious then usual, even though by themselves they don't mean much. The CCB greatly increases the effect of Buspar so I'm only supposed to take 2.5 mg 2 times daily. I've been taking it for about 4 weeks and so far, it hasn't done a whole lot for my anxiety. I think even that low dose might be too much. I can live with the dizziness and etc. but I think it's making me reallhy edgy. I feel very alert and tense most of the time but it may just be because I'm worried about trying a new drug but it might be the drug itself. I've also been trying to taper off of Xanax, which is probably not a good thing to do right now. Does anybody have any thoughts? I would really appreciate some guidance as I'm not seeing a p-doc and my GP is a good guy but doesn't know anything about psychotropic drugs. Thanks.
