I am currently on 30 mg of Celexa and 30 mg of buspar. I have only been on buspar for 2 weeks, but it's been a great two weeks. I suffer from GAD that causes me some pretty serious panic attacks. With the GAD also comes depression; not fun. I have tried a multitude of anti anxiety drugs and I am very happy with Buspar. From the first day I took it, I have been far calmer and happier; the panic attacks have subsided greatly. The side effects can be strange, but they haven't been too bad for me and it's far better than dealing with benzo addiction or withdrawal...

Although Mareen seems extreme and probably could have worded things in a different way where people would be more reseptive, she still made a few good points. I think the key is balence and in that balence I believe religion should be part of that-but I also won't try to shove my beliefs down ur throat. I believe that many things including therapy, medication, and religion all play a part in dealing with anxiety and depression. I personally feel like I would be even more anxious, depressed,or possibly even dead if it wasn't for my hope thru my relationship with my savior.

I got Buspar from my doctor today; I hope it helps with anxiety. I agree with Maureen's comment, but sometimes it's very hard to get out of the anxiety and depression rut. Once we habitually think scary thoughts, the chemistry in our brain actually changes from our thoughts. There's no doubt that having faith in God and feeling uplifted from church can definitely be helpful. One night I was having terrible anxiety, and my son got his Bible and prayed with me, and I was able to feel much better. But I felt that my strength to relax came through the faith of my son, and not mine. There are many ways to heal ourselves emotionally. I think it's better to heal without a drug whenever possible, but, here I am, trying Buspar. As long as we earnestly try to get well, and do whatever we can, we can take a look at all resources that present themselves.

You are so right on this. I have been dealing with this for over a year now and have found that with God in my life all things are possiable
Maureen wrote:
Start putting God in your life and this will help with your depression. Follow His commandments, read about all the miracles down through the centuries in the Catholic Church, Eucharistic miracles, statues crying, incorrupt bodies of saints etc. Read Scripture and start going to Church every Sunday and go to confession and receive The Holy Eucharist where Jesus truly is present and take your medicine, eat well, and exercise and you will see a difference.

Daily Horoscope for December 21

Gemini

Close relationships sometimes cause problems for you, Gemini, perhaps because the level of intimacy involved makes you feel uncomfortable. Yet this is just what you should concentrate on over the next four weeks; so relax and let your guard down. It's safe to reveal your true self, warts and all. Feel free to let them do the same in return.
