Biaxin (clarithrymicin)

I am currently taking 1 500mg tablet twice a day. Does anyone know if drinking alcohol in moderation affects the effectiveness of the drug?

I am currently taking Biaxin XL 500 mg (2 tablets a day.) I am having to get up at night to spit because I have a sour taste and excess saliva. Any comment on this?

im taking biaxin/clarithromycin which is way better than clandamycin. But ya I have sharp painfull abdominal pain on the right side, the liver and im starting to get awful taste in my saliva. I hate antibitocs!!! all for a stupid tooth!
